Harper's POV

I woke up with a whimper as Loki's lifeless face flashed before my eyes. I sat up and took deep breathes to try and calm myself. It had been about four months since Asgard and I was still dreaming about it. I know that four months is not a long time but I wanted it to stop. I wanted all the nightmares to go away and leave me alone.

I decided that maybe a shower would help me feel better. I went to the bathroom and showered. This is horrible. Loki can't be dead. That's not fair. I thought as the hot water hit me. I kept thinking of Loki the whole shower but I tried to push him to the back of my mind. After my shower, I went about my normal day. I ate an apple for breakfast then spend the rest of the day just hanging out in my room or on the roof.

When it got dark I snuck out to the park to meet up with Alora. I expected to see her waiting for me but I was surprised to see the chair empty. I sat down and waited for her to arrive but she didn't. I messed up. I shouldn't have tried to kiss her because now she hates me. I thought and looked to the ground.

I wanted to text Alora but I could think of what to say. Right on time, my phone pinged and I pulled it from my pocket to check the message. I thought it was Alora but it wasn't. It was Wanda.

Wanda: Your parents are looking for you.

I sighed and hurried back to the tower so my parents didn't find me missing. If they did they would ask me about it and then I would have to tell them about Alora and I am not telling them about her. I got home and quickly got into my room but I was too late. My mum and Clint were sitting on my bed.

"Hello," Said Clint and he looked really angry. I wanted to run back down the hall but I knew that would only make things worse. "Where do you keep going?" He asked and I smiled weakly.

"To the park like I said last time you asked," I answered and stepped closer to them. My mum stood up and came over to me.

"Why?" She asked me and I shrugged.

"Because I like it at the park," I said and she nodded slowly but I could tell she knew I was lying.

"Clint she is 16, she can go to the park if she wants to." my mum said and started to leave my room. Clint got up and left too. Something about that interaction with them was very awkward but I didn't want to ask them any questions about it.

My whole day had been boring and slightly worrying so I got ready to watch a movie then go to bed. I changed into my PJs and had picked out the movie. Just as I started the movie, my phone pinged.

Alora: Umm, I can't be your friend anymore. I'm so sorry. Please don't talk to me again. I'm sorry.

I read it over and over again, each time getting more confused and concerned. I didn't care that it was 10 pm, I was going to her house to check on her. I quickly got re-dressed and went to the elevator where I was stopped.

"Go back to your bedroom," Clint said and I glared at him. "You can go if you tell me where you're going." He said and I glared even harder at him.

"No," I said and pressed the elevator button.

"Then I'm coming with you." He said and came next to me.

"Oh no, not this time," I said and he picked me up and put me on the lounge. "PUT ME DOWN!" I yelled and he did. He put me down on the lounge then stood in front of me. "Why can't I go?" I asked and he sighed.

"Because your keeping secrets from me and you're mad at me. If you leave now and something happened to you, we will both feel horrible that you left while mad. Please, where are you going?" He asked me.

I understood his worry because the city could be very dangerous but I really needed to go. "I bet you won't treat your other kids like this," I growled.

"I will if I feel they need me too. Just answer me this, Will you call me if you need help?" He asked and I nodded but he didn't move.

"I'll take Wanda with me," I said going that would do for him. He nodded and I found Wanda. I explained the bare minimum to her about it and we left. She seemed okay with only getting the bare minimum of information and she agreed to come with me si my dad would let me go.

I got up and ran to the open elevator. "Thanks, Dad," I said as we passed him in the living room. I ran out of the building, down the streets and to Alora's house with Wanda close behind. We ran very quickly all the way and with every step, I got more worried about talking to her about her message.

Had it not been for the menacing looking man that was holding a bat at her front door I would have run straight to her house and knocked. I could have easily beaten this man in a fight but what was stopping me was the fact he had Alora by the hair. Alora's eyes were red and puffy and her body looked so weak. "Are you Harper? Who's that?" The man asked as I stepped into the light of the street lamp.

"Yes, I'm Harper and this is my friend Wanda. Who are you?" I asked and stopped walking at the end of the path that led to her house. I put a hand out to tell Wanda to wait for a signal. "Alora, are you alright?" I asked and she shook her head.

"I'm her Uncle. She's fine besides hanging out with you!" He said and growled at me and swung the bat at me. "You are Never going to speak to her again!" He yelled, tossed Alora to the ground then charged at me.

"Why? What did we do?" I asked and dodged his first go at me. I grabbed the back of this guys shirt and yanked him backwards and he fell onto his butt. He got up and swung his bat which I just ducked under then kicked his shin. That's when Wanda joined in. Wanda used her powers to pick up the man's and suspend him in the air.

I went up to him, ripped the bat from his hand then smacked him with it. I didn't kill him but he passed out and knock a few of his yellow rotten teeth out.

Once Wanda put the man down, I ran over to Alora to check on her. Alora had bruises galore on her arms, legs and even her neck to her shirt collar. A deep cut over Alora's forehead down to her cheekbone looked like a dark river of blood. I helped Alora stand, with Wanda's help, and we left the front yard of her house and made our way back to the tower.
