It's the beginning of your second week, and you want to go out and explore the island as much fun as it has been; being locked away with Jon, you are beginning to get cabin fever. Unfortunately, Jon has a few work things on his schedule for today, so you decide to jump into the rental car and head off to adventures new.

You are driving along the coastline and notice a small white building poking out of the trees on your left; you pull over and take a nosey. It's a small fisherman's chapel across from small fishing docks. You see that the locals are busy getting the boats ready to go out. You take a walk into the small chapel, and a small older woman is busying herself with cleaning and fixing the bibles and other bits and bobs.

"Hello deary, how are you?" she asks, looking over the top of her glasses.

"Hi, sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I was driving past and saw the chapel and wanted to see what it was like"

"No problems, everyone is welcome in our little chapel. Do I detect a British accent there? Are you here on your own?"

"Out and about today, yes, my boy/fia.other half is at the house."

"Are you confused there, petal?" she says, waving you over, and you sit down next to her.

"No, yes, I don't know anymore. This week has been crazy. I'm struggling to keep up."

"well, why don't I make us a cuppa, and you can tell me, and we can see if we can sort you out. "

"I'm sorry you must think of me rude. I'm Cori," you say and hold out your hand for her to shake.

"Don't even mention petal; I'm Nancy, but everyone calls me nan/nanny."

"Nice to meet you, Nancy."

So you join, follow Nancy through to the kitchen and help as she makes the tea; you grab the cups and bits. She directs you through the back of the house attached to the back porch with a view of a small garden surrounded by jungle and palm trees. You both sit on the back porch.

"So come on then, flower, tell me all."

And you do, minus the sex stories you don't want to end the poor woman's life. She sits there for over an hour just listening to everything you have to say, adds in an aah/oooh, and then a gasp. You finally finish your saga, and she sits looking contemplative.

"Well, now, petal, from what you have told me, this is the beginning of a very romantic story. take It from an old woman jump in and see where the rapids take you; if it doesn't work out, then so be it, but you tried it."

"I'm just worried he will one day wonder what he has done asking me to marry him. I don't want to ruin his career, especially when real life kicks back in and with things people will say and write about him and me. I have no skeletons in my closet, but I know people who would make stuff about me to get in the papers. I don't think I could cope if he just threw me to the kerb after everything. I'm sorry, you're the first and only other person I've spoken to about this, the other being Jon."

"Flower, Don't get caught up in the what-ifs; enjoy the here and now. There will always be jealous people out there looking to bring you down. That's where you keep your head held high, and you stick together. Communication between the two of you, as long as you are honest with everything, you can never be accused of deceiving him."

"I know you are right, Nancy, and I want to thank you for your help today. You've helped me sort through some things, but I think I have taken up enough of your time. you were busy before I interrupted you."

"Nonsense petal, what kind of church would I run if I couldn't stop to help a lovely confused young lady."

"Can I ask whether you do weddings here?" you ask as you exit the front of the church?
