Cori's POV

I woke up early the following day, and Jon was still asleep; I crept out of bed and went and got my camera and took some shots of Jon sleeping. He looked too cute, hair splayed out everywhere, starfishing over the bed. So I took my camera, walked out of the bedroom and onto the balcony, and took photos of the view and the sky changing colours. I spent an hour or so just snapping pictures and drinking coffee.
I got showered and dressed, leaving a note on my pillow telling Jon so had gone to the little cafe near our apartment to get some food. I walked down the street and into the cafe; I placed my order and took a seat; while I waited, I just sat watching people going about their daily lives. I snapped some photos of them and the local scenery.

I took my order and walked back to the complex; on my way back, I saw a couple out on their motorbike and thought about the day we went out on Jon's bike, and an idea popped into my head.
I unlocked the door to our apartment and walked straight into the kitchen, guessing that Jon was still asleep by the lack of noise. I took out some plates, placed the breakfast on them, and set the table on the balcony. After I had finished setting it up, I went back in to wake Jon up.
I tiptoed into our room, got up on the bed, and stood over Jon. I began jumping up and down above him; he woke up startled, and I almost fell if the bed.
I fell to my knees, clutching my tummy while trying to catch my breath from laughing so hard.

"What the fuck, Cori? Why would you do that", Uh, he was not happy!

"I-I-I'm sorry," I just about managed to get out.

Jon got off the bed and stormed out of the bedroom and into the bathroom, slamming the door. Well, that didn't go to plan, did it! So now, I had to develop a new plan to get him to not be in a mood with me.
I could hear him banging and thumping around in the bathroom, and I lightly knocked on the door:

"Not now, Cori" We

"Jon, I'm sorry, I thought it would be a fun way to wake you up. But, unfortunately, it was a stupid idea, baby; please talk to me."
No reply came from the other side of the door; deciding it wasn't worth the argument, I walked off and went back outside. I sat down at the table and looked at the now cold breakfast sitting idly on the tab;e.
The door behind me opens, and Jon steps out and takes steps behind me; I don't turn to speak. I just sit there. He places both his hands on my shoulders and gently squeezes and pulls my chair back to face him, and his face is soft, with no trace of anger.

"Baby, I'm sorry I shouted and lost my temper. I just didn't expect to be woken up that way. You scared the crap out of me."

"I shouldn't have woke you up that way, and it went different in my mind,"

"Oh, and how did it go in your mind?"

I drop my head, feeling a blush creeping up my cheeks, my hair falling all around my face. I hear him chuckle as he wraps his arms around me, pulling my back into his body and kissing the top of my head.
"Did you make breakfast?"
"No, I went to the cafe down the street earlier; I wanted to surprise you. It will be stone cold by now, and the coffee will be freezing."
"No worries, we can heat it all back up; thank you, baby; it was a lovely thought! Why don't you take a seat, and I will warm it all back up. Back in a sec."

He picked up the plates, walked back into the kitchen, and stuck the food in the microwave to heat it back up. He comes back out, and we sit and eat our breakfast and just enjoy the silence; even though we made up, I still feel a little awkward, and I think Jon was picking up on it. We spent the rest of the morning beginning to pack our stuff and sort out the apartment, and I was in the bedroom folding my clothes into neat little piles ready to go into my case when Jon came in the room.
