"What were you thinking? Do you have any idea what you have gotten yourself into?" Leila growled. I mean, literally. Okay, so I told her about what happenned when I was walking by myself. And this is what I got. I was that foolish.
"I'm sorry. This is the best shot that I got. I know this is tricky, but this is the only way I'll ever get Brandon's attention." I answered, in a very low voice.
"Pearl, you won't only get Brandon's attention. You'll get the whole school's attention. Jake has the word player written on his forehead. You'll only end up getting hurt." Leila explained.
"I know, I know. But that's the point. I accepted Jake's 'invitation' of becoming his girlfriend so that I'll be able to get to know Brandon, too. Besides, they're best friends, right? I thought this over already. This is the only way I'd be able to keep in touch with him, I guess?" I demanded. Yes, I am now Jake's girlfriend. I know he's a player. It's quite obvious. But, me ending up hurt because of Jake? No way! I don't like him, in the first place. I just did this to be part of Brandon's circle of friends.
I'm not being mean or you know, a loose woman, or whatever you call that. Jake doesn't seem to be foolishly in love with me. He's nowhere from that. It's obvious that he just wants me to be added to his long line of slaves, er, I mean girlfriends. So I don't see the mistake in what I did. We're just even. Aren't we?
"If that's what you say. But always remember, I'll always be your helping shoulder. Whenever you need me, I'm there for you." Leila told me.
I just nodded and hugged her.

It's been three days since I entered school and well, became Jake's girlfriend. He treated me like a princess, the way Brandon used to, which only added the guilt I felt for entering this crazy business. And since Jake was already my boyfriend, I got to hangout with his popular friends and I also got to sit with them in the Popular Table. The jocks always swarmed around me and flirted but, Jake always shoved them away from whenever they do so. The cheerleaders befriended me, although I could feel that some are just faking it, including the redhead cheerleader which Brandon was kissing, which I came to know was his girlfriend.
Speaking of the kissing monster, there she is, flirting with a jock named Dennis. Kissing him, to be exact.
"Can't her lips even rest for a while?" I didn't notice I said it out loud. Good thing Leila's the one with me right now. In response, Leila looked at her with disgust and said, "I know right."
Fried Tunas! She has a boyfriend! How could she be so loose?
Eventually, we just ignored their careless act and headed to our lockers. As I opened mine, a paper fell. I picked it up and read it. Go to gym after class. I'll wait for you there. -Brandon

Brandon and I are not really in good speaking terms. I kind of avoided him since I was still aggravated of him. And it seems that the feeling is mutual, he doesn's want to converse with me either.
But, whatever his reasons of suddenly wanting to see me, I just headed to the gym and saw him the instant I got there. The moment he saw me, he gripped my wrist and hauled me to a secluded area. His grip started to hurt and I swear, my wrist felt as if it was dropped with acid.
"What is your problem! You're hurting me!" I shouted and snatched my wrist away from him. The part where he gripped was really red and it was throbbing with pain.
Brandon just stared at my infected carpus and muttered a 'sorry'. We just stared at each other for a while until I decided to break the silence. "Why did you want to see me?" I asked, sounding a little irritated.
"Nothing. I just missed my princess." he said.
