I had actually made it and gotten into Jeff's dream. I never thought it would be that easy, but he probably had allowed it.
I was in a highly lit-up, big room. It was completely different than the hall. Everywhere there was training equipment and the long side of the room was completely covered by a mirror.
I took a look around and in the furthest corner, hidden by all the equipment, I found Jeff, training on a bike. He had changed his frock to a sports outfit.
"I was wondering when you'd show up here," he greeted me and stopped driving. He turned off the bike, got down and grabbed a towel that had been lying next to the bike. I ignored the question why he was training in his sleep and therefore asked something else, "You're not surprised to see me?"
"To be honest, yes. But I'm more surprised that you came that late. I thought, to be honest, that you'd show up earlier." He swiped over his face with the towel, threw it on the ground again and started doing push-ups, which made me feel a bit lost in here.
"You always manage to confuse me."
"Could you please stop doing that?" he said annoyed.
"Doing what?"
"Using the formal form for me. I'm sure your mother has told you my first name anyways. So anyways, I'm Jeff." He got up and held out his hand for me to shake it.
"But why have you thought I'd show up earlier?"
"It was just a matter of time before Julia would contact you. She's actually not allowed to do that but she wanted to talk to you so badly and show you something. I'm sure she's done that?" He looked at me with a questioning face, so I nodded and he continued, "that's why I was so sure you'd come here. But why you're here, that's a question I'm not able to answer either."
"I'm here because I want to train. I want to learn to be able to use my 'power' how you're calling it. I want to learn how I can defend myself, since you're apparently not the most trustworthy person. You said you'd keep an eye on me but today I was struck down by somebody. So you're apparently not able to protect me from everything," I criticized him. I had thought of a different reaction, but he just chuckled as if he was keeping something from me. But I was used to that by now. Instead he said, "Those are some good arguments. And I won't be able to refuse you a training. Although, in my opinion, starting training right now already could be difficult. But I'm also sure we'll be able to manage that. But we can't possibly train in a dream. You need to come visit me in the awake world."
"Where shall I come? When shall I come?" I shouted out excitedly. Maybe I would find out a bit more now eventually.
"You could come tomorrow after school," he said casually.
"But I'm meeting Alex," I said disappointed. I would've been glad to come tomorrow but we had planned the meeting for so long already and I didn't want to upset him by calling off the meeting with such short notice.
"Then bring him with you. It's good to have someone else you can rely on anyways."
"I can just bring him with me?" I asked again. Just bringing Alex with me? That would really not be a problem?
"Just do it, or otherwise I might change my mind," he said with a hand wave to tell me I shouldn't think about that.
"But where should I come?"
"16 Urlaine Street. Understood?"
"Yes. And you promise you'll be there?"
"Yes," he said, "I promise."
