"Now what is that? Don't you have any more to show?" Jeff nagged at me.
I was standing in the star, trying to forge a power shield for which I had to move my arms in circles before stretching them out in front of me at full tilt. A fireball should appear around me which would spread and hurl the enemy away. Would. If I could do it.
I should try this on Alex who didn't have that much to do yet, since I just couldn't accomplish it. When Jeff had shown me the exercise on Alex, he had been thrown through the whole room, and now he had sat down out of boredom and was watching me eagerly.
"Well, I'm sorry that I can't do it straight away, but I've known that I would be able to do that for a few days only now," I responded annoyed, and rolled my eyes. It was getting too much for me by now and I had already thought about just leaving.
"Yes, 'would' is the right word for that," Jeff said provokingly. My muscles tensed and I became angrier and angrier. Why did he have to be so mean to me? Nobody could be able to do that at first sight, or was I just that bad? No, definitely not. I wouldn't be pushed over the edge by him and if he said something similar again, I wouldn't just leave, I would try the power shield on him. Maybe then I would get it.
"Will you manage it today? Or shall I wait until tomorrow?" I took a quick glance over my shoulder to look at him and saw a mischievously looking face. The expression said something like, you're so incompetent, a chicken would be able to do it better. And there it was, "You're so incompetent!"
I let go of my human guinea pig Alex and turned toward Jeff. He had crossed his arms in front of his chest, his weight on one leg, and raised an eyebrow as if he asked himself why I had turned away from Alex. He would see it in a moment. Because I was angry. Freaking angry and I would not stand for that. That was for sure.
I moved my arms in a big circle over my head and stretched them out in front of me. Directly towards Jeff. The look on his face changed from confused over astounded to shocked as a bubble of fire encased me. I couldn't see anything except for this light, strong fire. In my thoughts, I shot the bubble of fire at Jeff. My eyes closed and my whole concentration was on the following movement. I stretched my arms in front of me and pointed them toward Jeff. I opened my eyes and saw the bubble starting to spread at a rapid speed. The fire got even lighter, blinding me so I closed my eyes. As I opened them again, Jeff lay on the ground at the opposite wall, just like Alex. Alex seemed okay, since he lifted his head and looked at me confused. Jeff on the other hand just gave some undefinable sounds.
"Moonshine, what have you done with him?" Alex asked and looked at me with big eyes.
"Exactly what he wanted." I blew a strand of hair from my face and brushed off my hands on my pants, for they were a bit smutty. Jeff started gaining his conscience back and I could understand a few words he tried to say, "That... was... good..." He wasn't able to say anything more.
"I know," I said sassily, "and since it was sooo good I can go now, right?" I didn't wait for an answer but turned around and left the training room. I heard Alex getting up and following me, but I didn't make a move to turn around. In the hall, I got my jacket and left the house. Outside, I stopped walking and waited for Alex who appeared next to me a few seconds later.
"That... was... crazy. How did you do that?"
"I was angry. And I still am. So pay attention to what you'll say!" I flashed my eyes at him and threatened him with my index finger. He gulped. For a moment we stood there like that, then I had to start laughing. And he joined in.
