"Hi, I'm looking for a Miss Katherine Pierce, do you know where I could find her?" Raven compelled in one of the most expensive designer shoe stores in New York.
"Ah yes, she's in the registry here somewhere" the woman said, flicking through her files.
"Perfect, I'll just need her number" Raven smiled innocently.
It was a busy afternoon in the streets of New York.
Manhattan was teeming with life. The air was thick and dense and the public trampled and scuffled past one another. Raven had never felt so claustrophobic.
Then again, she had also never been surrounded by so many walking blood bags.
She broke through the crowd, like Moses parting the red sea, and found herself in a huge library.
Each bookshelf stretched ridiculously high with sliding ladders on each end for easy access to the top shelf. The old Raven would've been in her element but no humanity Raven was just looking for good cell reception.
"Who's this?" a well spoken, slightly annoyed woman asked down the phone.
"Hi Katherine, I'm going to skip right to the good bit, since I know you're an impatient woman. I'm Raven Anastasia. I'm a vampire/witch hybrid. I was close with Klaus Mikaelson until Rebekah made it her life's purpose to kill me and bring me nothing but pain" Raven explained.
"And how does this concern me?" Katherine asked bluntly.
"Look, I know your history. I know you can't kill Klaus because you're from his sire line, like me, but you want to bring him pain, right? Well, I'm pretty sure killing his sister would be bring him nothing but torment" Raven convinced.
"If I help kill Rebekah, Elijah will loathe me and Klaus will continue to hunt me, only this time, he'll be even angrier, so no thanks, I'll pass" Katherine noted, about to hang up.
"But you love Stefan, so why do you care about what Elijah thinks?" Raven added quickly.
Katherine sighed and decided to hear Raven out.
"I just told you I'm a hybrid. I've fought Klaus before and won. If you help me kill Rebekah, I'll make sure to protect you from his wrath" Raven bribed.
"One thing genius...what about the other Mikaelson's? They'll hate you. Their stupid 'Always and Forever' pact runs deep" Katherine argued.
"Katherine, I could've easily killed Elijah yesterday but I didn't. And as for Kol, I'm pretty sure he won't be a problem" Raven giggled "So where can we meet?"
"How do I know you're not working with Klaus and this is all some plot to get me out of hiding?" Katherine pressed.
"Your paranoia will be your downfall. Meet me at-" Raven looked around at the nearby street corners "Meet me at a bar called 'Employees Only' tonight at 7pm"
"Fine. But if this is a set-up, I can assure you, Rebekah will be the least of your problems" Katherine warned, ending the phone call.
Raven smiled smugly. Katherine was supposed to be the queen of manipulation and yet Raven did it with ease.
Later that evening,
'Employees Only' was a Prohibition, retro-themed cocktail bar on Hudson St. It was popular for it's gorgeous steak and lively atmosphere.
"Bourbon" Raven waved her hand at the bartender before side-eyeing the girl sitting beside her.
"Katherine" Raven greets.
"I've scouted every inch of this bar...you came alone" Katherine applauded.
"I have no reason to lie to you, we're on the same side" Raven assured as her drink was served.
"Fine" Katherine smirked cunningly "What's your plan?"
The pair sat at the bar for quite some time, talking over their plot for revenge and began learning a lot about one another.
They shared stories from their past and related in some traumas. As they drank, even more was revealed until Raven suggested they stop talking and have a little fun.
An intoxicated Raven, dragged an equally intoxicated Katherine, up onto the stage to perform karaoke. Katherine joked that the two made a pretty good band.
Once the songs had played and the alcohol was slipping out of their system, Katherine suggested they get something or someone to drink.
"Hi" Katherine smiled, hanging off a guy's shoulder, in a flirty manner.
He smiled with intrigue as Raven appeared on his other shoulder.
"Me and my friend would love for you to come into the backroom with us" Katherine said seductively.
The guy nodded eagerly and followed Raven into the backroom. As soon as he entered, he took off his shirt eagerly.
Katherine unbuckled his belt and the two girls started kissing his chest, moving further up to his neck.
The guy, naturally aroused, closed his eyes and tilted his head back.
Raven and Katherine stopped for a brief moment and smirked at one another before piercing each side of his neck with their fangs.
His screams were muffled by Katherine's hand and just as he started to calm down Raven pulled away.
She watched as Katherine didn't stop.
"Do you plan on killing him?" Raven questioned, wiping her mouth.
Katherine took one last sip before his body fell to the floor "Doesn't matter, he's dead now" she shrugged.
Raven gulped a little. Her witch side felt guilt and regret but her vampire side tried desperately to block it out. It was almost like hearing about a national tragedy on the news. You feel sad because people suffered but in the end, you go about your day because 'it didn't affect you personally'.
Katherine payed no attention to Raven's inner struggle and instead unbolted the backdoor to the bar and held open the door.
"You coming?" she beckoned, staring at Raven impatiently.
She took one last glance at the guy's body and leant down beside him.
Katherine watched as Raven's hand slipped inside his jean pocket and pulled out his wallet.
Raven grinned and waved his credit card in her hand "Let's go"
She and Katherine strutted off, side by side, along the empty streets of New York in the dead of night, powerful and fearless. A force to be reckoned with.

"So how powerful are you then?" Katherine quizzed as the two sat in a fancy Café, eating breakfast.
"I mean I don't want to brag..." Raven chuckled, flicking her wrist and sending Katherine's coffee flying straight out of the Café window and through a car window of a taxi.
Everyone in the Café had witnessed this, so Raven stood up boldly and held her hands out. They all turned to look at her.
"I don't hear clapping?" Raven reprimanded, compelling the bystanders to start applauding.
"Fair enough" Katherine huffed as Raven sat back down smugly.
"I booked us a flight back to Mystic Falls in 2 hours. That's just enough time for you to get your things and order another coffee" said Raven.
Katherine rolled her eyes but couldn't help laughing a little. She actually liked Raven.
