Klaus twisted his head and nodded hesitantly before turning back to face Stefan "You and I are not done here"

Raven led Klaus out into the study and closed the door behind them.

"I thought you were willing to let me die" Raven's voice quivered.

Klaus shook his head "Stefan thought that the fear of dying would be the key to getting your humanity back-"

Raven cut him off, stepping closer to him "The fear of dying wasn't what triggered my emotions. It was the thought of being betrayed and left to die at the hands of someone I love"

Raven stood, emotional and exposed. Laying all her feelings out on the line.

Klaus stood as his eyes wandered across her. He had heard it the first time when she was on her deathbed, but now, she stood before him, surrendering to raw emotion.

He didn't know how to reply, so instead, he pulled her in by her waist and kissed her passionately.

Once the pair pulled away from each other, Klaus cupped her cheek with his hand and stroked softly "I would never betray you"

"But you'd allow Rebekah to hurt me again?" she whispered, drawing back from him.

"Raven-" he sighed before watching as she left the room.

Klaus followed and approached Elijah, who was still bargaining for the location of Rebekah.

"Brother, I think it's time we leave" suggested Klaus.

Elijah shook is head in disagreement.

"We will find Rebekah, just not today" Klaus retreated out of the door. Elijah reluctantly followed.

"I want to see Rebekah" Raven ordered with a slight gulp, once the Mikaelson's had left.

Stefan approached her "Are you sure?"

Raven nodded in reply and Damon got to his feet, drinking the last of his bourbon.

"Follow me" he walked out onto the driveway and opened his car's passenger door politely for Raven to get inside.

The two drove off, in silence, watching through the open roof as the sun began to set.

"You love him, don't you?" Damon announced after some time.

"You...wasn't supposed to hear that" Raven sighed, turning her head to see Damon's expression.

"Why not?" Damon interrogated.

Raven clicked her tongue and turned away "You're upset"

"No, I'm confused" he corrected.

"Why? Because you thought I liked you?" Raven snapped. She watched Damon's demeanour changed to a disappointment and disillusioned look.

Raven reached over and placed her hand on top of his on the gear stick.

"Because I did, Damon" Raven confessed "As soon as I met you, I wanted to know more about you. You were mysterious and intriguing and the more I got to know you, the more attached I became. You taught me how to feed and enjoy it and I loved the time we spent together"

"But it wasn't enough..." Damon deduced.

Raven retracted her hand "When you fixed my van, I wanted to kiss you. I wanted to thankyou for everything-"

Damon cut her off "But then Klaus came... yeah, I remember"

"He helped me gain control, to become what I was always meant to be. He found my mother!" she spoke softly.
