Stefan and Damon watched cautiously from the sides as Raven backed into a corner, muttering to herself with madness. Then suddenly, she stopped.
"Klaus?" Raven called out, with light in her eyes.
Klaus Mikaelson turned the corner and entered the cellar, much to Raven's relief.
"You came" Raven sniffed, clunking her chains.
"Stefan called and mentioned you were in quite the predicament luv" Klaus smiled before turning to the Salvatore brothers "You can leave us" he smirked with underlying malicious intent.
Stefan and Damon left the cellar, handing Klaus the last two vervain needles.
Raven, still unaware of Stefan's deal, tried to approach Klaus but was pulled back by the bolts that connected her to the wall.
"Easy now" Klaus advised "You're still riddled with illusions. If you happen to snap my neck during one, I may as well get you a pen and paper to write your will"
"So you want to inject me?" Raven huffed, turning away. She kept her back to Klaus but her mind knew it was the right idea. She just hated feeling weak. Hated feeling frail and defenceless. It reminded her of her youth.
As a human, Raven was always used to being the oldest one, the parental figure, amongst an abundance of abandoned children. In that, she felt power. She felt strength. The children depended on her.
However, she felt a lingering sense of weakness that magnified over time as the children grew older. They became more independent and not reliant on Raven's advice, wisdom or guidance. Some were adopted into wonderful homes, whilst Raven, the benevolent teacher, was left alone and isolated. 'With family, comes a great power' but sadly, Raven did not get to experience this.
She searched for any remnants of power. Any small vessels that would show Raven that she had the power to inflict change. She sought out adventure, a good thrill and most of all, eternal strength. Vampirism seemed to be the miracle cure for that and Raven was about to lose it all, if Klaus didn't calm her mind with the vervain.
"Fine, do it" she urged, turning back to face Klaus.
He quickly vamped over, emptied the two syringes into her shoulder blade and vamped back to a safe distance.
Raven slumped down and the vervain began to take affect.
"Now heal me" she gasped for breath, battling to stay conscious.
"Well, you see" Klaus smirked, reaching into Raven's pocket.
He pulled out the dagger that Raven had removed from Kol's chest and clunked it onto the concrete floor.
"As much as I like you Raven, you've made it very clear that you're never going to abandon your need for revenge" he crouched down to her level and waved the dagger in her face.
He began tapping it, rhythmically, on Raven's chains.
"Now, Rebekah has done some dastardly deeds, most of which I do not condone, but she is my sister. My blood. I made a promise to Elijah that I would not let you harm her" he continued with a devilish look in his eyes.
"Klaus-" Raven scrambled on the concrete, realising that the murderous look on his face and the rhythmic beat of distraction, meant that he planned to harm her.
"Raven, don't make this harder than it needs to be" Klaus pleaded.
Suddenly, Raven heard a loud clatter from upstairs.
"Ah, it seems Elijah has arrived to keep the Salvatore's occupied" he announced, stopping his systematic beat.
"You wouldn't leave me to die-" Raven shook her head in defiance.
