Emily Fletcher, Adriane Charday and Kara Davies are magical girls called Mages. They were chosen when they were 12 years old, to be protectors of something called the Magic Web, a Web of Magic holding worlds together. Each mage has a magical animal friend as well, called a bonded. Bonded's are companions of each mage, to aid in their magical quest to save Avalon, the source of all magic. Kara Davies possesses the Unicorn Gem, and was chosen to be The Blazing Star mage. She wields fire magic, can manipulate white light from her gem, and also is a magical supercharger, using her magic to charge her friends jewels for battle. Her bonded is a magical winged leopard cat, named Lyra. Her father is the Mayor of their town, so naturally, Kara's the blonde popular one.

Adriane Charday was chosen as the Warrior mage. Possessing the Wolf Stone, she can wield Earth magic, has enhanced strength and agility, and was given the gift of being a World Walker, meaning she is the only mage that can open portals between worlds on the Magic Web. She is bonded to two Mistwolves, named Dreamer and Stormbringer. Stormbringer died in battle years ago, but her magic remains in Adrianes jewel. Mistwolves are magical wolves that can turn into a light mist, making everything within it invisible. They are also magic trackers. She lives with her grandmother on a wildlife preserve in PA. She is reserved and cautious, the "dark" type of friend.

Finally, Emily Fletcher was chosen to be the Healer mage. She is by far one of the most powerful of the three and naturally more so the leader. She possesses the Rainbow Jewel, which gives her several impressive powers. Mind control, water magic, healing powers, the ability to view magical auras, and even the ability to bond with every animal, Emily is full of power and has a kind heart to make it better. However, according to the prophecy of the mages, one will bond with dark magic and become the Dark Mage. Unfortunately Emily was the unlucky mage to fall for this dark magic, but in my headcanoned version of her, in this story, she rarely uses it as to make sure it doesn't take a hold on her. She is levelheaded, calm, collected, sweet, witty and kind, but she is also very capable, and should not be underestimated. Her bonded is a "ferret" named Ozzie or Ozymandius. He was an elf from a world called Aldenmor, who was turned into a ferret by the beings called Fairymentals, to hide on Earth so he could find the new mages. The Fairymentals are the all magical beings from Avalon itself, that give the Mages their magic. He chose to remain on Earth to stay with the girls, as he was having fun with their adventures. He possesses the Ferret Stone, the element of air, he can speak, and he has the power to amplify his voice.

The canon ages of these characters by the end of their book series is not explicitly known, although by the illustrations, I believe them to be about 18-19. This fanfiction will involve my personal headcanoned versions of the girls when they are 20 years old and still possess their powers. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT WITHIN THE CANON OF THE AVALON BOOKS!!!!
