"An Alien ship is coming." Bruce says all of a sudden. We were all impatiently waiting around him while he looked down at his computer. "It's all over the News"
"It's a Frost Giant ship." Tony says placing one hand on the counter behind Bruce. "I think we all know after who they're coming." He crosses his arms. I lean back on my chair silently. I don't know what to do next and I can feel my hands shaking.
"How do they know she's here? We were so cautious it's impossible." Natasha says.
"Someone must have snitched." Steve replies.
"That can't be true." Natasha continues "We are all Avengers here, we work together."
"All of us except one." Steve darts his eyes across the room. "We all know someone here who would have no problem selling secrets for some riches." He starts pacing the room.
"You can't mean..." Tony says.
"Just think about it. He came here "looking at ways to track his brother down" just before Y/N got here. What has he been doing all this time?" Steve continues. I look to the floor. I can't believe what I'm hearing.
"Loki wouldn't do that. Not after what happened here in 2012." Bruce crosses his arms in front of the computer. "He was out of his mind."
"Maybe he still is." Tony replies looking at Steve
"After all, he is one of them." Steve continues.
"What do you mean?" I ask all of a sudden, visibly startled.
"Didn't you know?" Natasha looks at me.
"He is a Frost Giant." Steve looks very serious. He walks towards the window. "I can't believe we trusted him."
A Frost Giant. It all makes sense now. His cold gaze, the fact that he didn't want me to read about them in the library. He was the reason my powers exploded in the first place because his touch triggered my memories. I look down at the palms of my hands as power starts concentrating once more, leaving the familiar blue hue. Should I be angry that he kept it from me? Or should I be sad that he didn't feel comfortable enough to say it after I opened up to him? My mixed feelings make it hard to concentrate on the ongoing conversation.
"Y/N" Natasha calls. "Don't let it get to you."
"No, you don't understand, I opened up to him and-" I try to calm down.
"It's not your fault." Steve replies. "We should have been careful, I mean, after all he's done, how could we believe someone like that changed." Steve looks across the room to find Loki, who was leaning against the door the entire time. His gaze meets mine before he exits the room while slightly shaking his head. He looks hurt.
"We shouldn't draw conclusions so soon." Bruce says.
"Our main priority right now should be figuring out where the ship will land and making sure we welcome our guests correctly and far away from the people." Natasha agrees.
"Right." Tony stands up. "Steve, Natasha, Wanda and Bruce, we are going to the ship. It's going to land in the east side of Central Park." He continues, looking down at Bruce's computer which showed the location.
"I'll call Falcon." Steve grabs his shield which was lying on the sofa and leaves the room, followed by Natasha and Bruce who also leave to get ready.
"Y/N." Tony calls. "You are staying here. We can't risk losing you against Laufey."
"But I can fight." I say, trying to feel like I'm of use.
"You can't control your powers yet. We don't need more accidents." He says while walking towards the door. I decide to not fight him on this, after all, the last thing I want is to risk the mission and be an obstacle for the Avengers. He turns before leaving "Oh and by the way, Bucky will stay with you."
