I put aside the thin blanket that covers my legs to find bruises and scratches all over, but I no longer feel as weak or hurt. I get in the shower, water flows down my body. I recall all those moments of despair trying to hold back tears. I hoped it would all be over but I can't stop thinking of Loki. I can't shake the thought of him while getting dressed either. I decide that before the Avengers notice I'm out of bed, I'm going to go see him. I need to figure him out, I know it's a crazy idea but for some reason I want him back.

I push the heavy door that leads to the prison cell. He is sitting down looking at a fixed point. His hair is all messy and his dark circles and pale lips indicate he is exhausted, just as before. His gaze slowly trails up my body but he doesn't look at my eyes, he just follows my silhouette as I walk around the room towards the door. I look at the sceptre which is enclaved in some sort of base, but still glowing brightly. His cell is made of transparent walls that block out his powers.

"Loki." I call for him but he doesn't turn or change his expression. "Loki." Still no answer. I open the door and don't think twice before entering. He stands up and frowns.

"Why are you here?" He starts getting agitated.

"Tell me why you did what you did."

"Because I was told to do so."

"I know you. You don't take orders."

"You don't know me." His eyes shoot towards the sceptre for a second and that's where it hits me; I need to use it to take it out of his trance.

"Is that what you want?" I ask. "Then let me go get it." I lock his cell before coming back with it. He laughs weakly.

"Are you really going to trust yourself in the same room with me while carrying something that belongs to me."

"Yes. I trust you." I say, holding the sceptre back as I approach him. His eyes look around. He looks shaken up about what I just said. He walks backwards.

"What do you want?" He raises his voice at me, but he is too weak to do anything about me.

"You. I want you." He is completely cornered; I bring the sceptre forward and place it on his chest. It starts glowing brightly. He closes his eyes and I squint due to the bright yellow light that blinds me and invades the room as if the sun had found its way into the room. Some seconds pass by until it shuts off.

"Y/N?" He stutters, completely puzzled and his eyes glow brightly.

"You're back." I say as I let the sceptre lean on the wall. I place my hands on his chest and tilt my head while realisation hits him. Tears start to trail down his cheeks.

"I'm so sorry." He wraps his arms around my waist and I wrap mine around his neck. His head is buried against my shoulder. "You're the only person I trusted here. I never wanted to hurt you."

"It was not you." I say.

Suddenly, the door slams open and we break the hug. Bucky storms in raging mad.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Bucky's voice is shaky. "Get out of there Y/N."

"No, Bucky listen he-"

"Why is the scepter in the same cell as that son of a bitch?" Bucky runs towards the cell and slams it open, pulling me out by the arm harshly as he strikes Loki in the cheek.

"Stop it Bucky!" I quickly get up from the ground and run back at him, but before I could get there Loki holds his sceptre up to Bucky's neck.

"You back off beast." He demands as he slowly walks out of the cell, his sceptre still pointing at Bucky. "Let's get out of here Y/N." He holds out his hand to me."

"No..." Bucky grunts.

"Don't make me choose." I look back to Bucky.

"Fine then." Loki frowns and shoots a daring look at Bucky before breaking the window with his powers. "Call me up if you ever change your mind." And just like that, Loki disappears out the window.

"Why did you do that? Are you fucking crazy? After all we've been through, you free that Frost Giant and give him one of the most powerful weapons? You're out of your mind. I can't believe I ever felt anything for someone so selfish and- and- Forget it." He exits the room and I fall to my knees. A few minutes pass before Wanda and Natasha then come running to me

"Bucky's raging mad." Wanda starts. "What happened here?"

"You said he was mind controlled. I used the sceptre combined with my powers to bring his consciousness back. And then Bucky stormed in and started messing it all up. He wasn't listening and Loki got all nervous and just, well he left." I explain.

"With the sceptre?" Natasha kneels down.

"Yeah. But he is not dangerous. I swear. He is not out to hurt anyone and I know he won't."

"Well, you'll have to explain that to the Avengers..." Natasha says.

"We heard it all." Tony and Steve are leaning against the door.

"You really had the nerve." Tony starts.

"But she is right." Thor walks in. "After all he's been through, I can assure you he's got enough." He walks towards me. "Thank you for everything Y/N." I nod.

"So are we not chasing after him?" Tony asks lifting an eyebrow up.

"I wouldn't worry." Thor continues. "The only one who needs to worry is Laufey."

"He already kind of weak after our visit just two days ago, I'm sure Loki is going to have a good time with that." Steve concludes.

That very night, I couldn't sleep. My mind went from Loki to Bucky all the time. Will I ever regain Bucky's trust back? Now that he is not by my side anymore I feel the void, I was so careless with him and took for granted his protection and care, even after he looked for me and after me so much. And, where's Loki? Did he really go fight Laufey? And will he be back?

My thoughts are interrupted by a knock on the window. I walk and sit on the little bench under my window and pull the curtains aside. I open it up and look down to find Loki standing on some sort of floating bike, smiling up to me.

"I killed him." He says as he parks his space looking bike just in front of me. "He is dead. I smashed his head against his own throne, I wish you had been there to see him beg for mercy. He won't be able to come after you no more, or hurt Thor or anyone else."
"I was worried about you." I grab his arm to try and pull him inside my room but he refuses.

"I'm not staying here anymore. My presence is unwanted, dear. You should come with me instead. I've discussed it with Thor, I'm traveling to Asgard tonight and I'll repair the bifrost from there."

"I can't go Loki." I say. "I still have to-"

"You don't need to explain yourself, Y/N." He leans on my window sill with his arms crossed. "Just promise you'll come pay me a visit some time, alright? And that you'll know the doors of Asgard will always be open to you."

"I know." I place a strand of his hair behind his ear.

"I'll go now." He says before placing a kiss on my hand. "Sweet dreams Y/N."
