Draco drew in short, sharp breaths, his head was spinning. He had locked himself in the Slytherin bathroom desperate to rid his head of the grotesque images. Harry Potter, the boy he'd always been jealous of, had those scars for life. His family had done that to him. Draco may come from a family of pure bloods, but even his family would never harm their own flesh and blood like that.

Closing his eyes Draco tried to push away the images. The scars that told a story. Told the story of how his enemy was the strongest man he knew. Draco felt a tear slip down his cheek, what had he been doing? His whole time at Hogwarts he'd been tormenting a boy who was on the edge, a boy who knew pain a million time worse than he'd ever know. And yet the boy had soldiered on. Every day. Through every article written badly about him. Through every death affecting him. Through every challenge that faced him.

But still Draco knew he could not go and ask Harry's forgiveness after five years. He knew he had hurt him too much to do that. All the snide comments about his dead parents. That must of hurt Harry. Because Draco knew, if his parents were there, he'd never be scarred like that. He wouldn't have to walk around with the word BURDEN burnt into him. He wouldn't believe himself to be a FREAK. He'd never have been told it was all his fault. But what Draco didn't know was whether Harry believed those words.

Washing his face Draco came to a decision. At the moment, the most he could do was where his robes. His words seemed petty to the reality of Harry's life. Harry. Since when had Draco stopped referring to him as Potter?

Draco searched through his trunk, pulling out the robes with the burning words.

NEVER GOOD ENOUGH.
