NOT EDITED"What the hell are you doing!?" Luke exclaims, ripping the small book from my hands.
"What are you doing?! Your spoused to be downstairs with his mum!" Luke glares, retying the books leather strap.
"Ashton's mum is on the phone, and I'm using the bathroom."
"This doesn't look like the bathroom Luke." He glares even harsher, if it was even possible.
"I can see that, and it was just a cover up so I could find you. Which I did." I cross my arms over my chest, "Why the hell are you going through Ashton's journal?"
"He writes everything in it dumbass." I reply in a duh tone, "I was getting some good stuff from it." Luke rolls his eyes, holding out the journal.
"Put it in your bag, we're leaving." I nod placing the book into my bag and following Luke downstairs.
We waited patiently till Ashton's mother got off the phone to say goodbye. She almost seemed relieved we were leaving. "Come back any time!" She calls out, shutting the door quickly after words.
The car ride back to my house was completely silent, like not kidding. I felt like if I took a breath it would cause an earthquake. Luke kept his eyes on the rode, but I'm sure he was going over stuff Ashton's mum told him in his head.
I sorta envy Luke, in a sense. He was with Ashton all the time. On the football fields, doing homework, playing video games, Luke was lucky. Ashton was my best friends too but he was always so busy with his guy friends I felt like I was a bother when I came round.
"Stop thinking about him." Luke mumbles, scaring me, "It won't help you."
"Sorry what?"
"I know what your thinking Delilah, stop it. Ashton was as much of a friend to you as me and the guys." I furrow my eye brows, how did he- "You think out loud." I feel my face heat up as I attempt to hide inside my sweater.
"That's so embarrassing." Luke laughs, turning into my driveway.
"Nah it's alright." He replies with a smile hopping out of the car. "Common, we've got a lot to talk about."
