 Hunter

"So... I'm one of the prophets?" I asked with unenthusiasim.

"Yep!" King Salhom said, the exact opposite way I just had.

There literally seemed to be positivity pouring out of him. As an angel, it made me feel happier, and stronger. But on the other hand, me being me, it made me annoyed. I had officially met some of the other prophets: Katrina, Theodore, and Scarlet. It was also good to see the Royal Jesse again, but I soon saw what the commander was talking about with me being nervous around the other Royals. All the prophets seemed nice, and I was sure the other prophets had probably been thrown into this without really wanting to. Since Theodore and Katrina had the darkness affect them.

"Well, it's time to go welcome other species to Angel Season! This only happens every four years, so let's go make a good impression! Let the kids do whatever for a bit. King Damian should be here soon too!" I swore I saw him light up more when he said the other King's name.

Queen/King Jesse and King Salhom went back to the palace to talk business and other things that weren't really my business, and I didn't particularly care for them. I remembered what the commander had told me to do before I got on the ship, and now I knew why he had said that. Because he had known I was going to be one of the prophets, and wanted me to have a chance to say goodbye to anyone I cared about. The only one I actually would want to say goodbye to was the commander. He had always seemed to care about me. He acted like a father to me. But I didn't think too much into it. He probably didn't care as much as I did, anyways. Scarlet, apparently a fire wolf that was new to this sort of thing, asked me if I wanted to get some ice cream.

"In this cold?" I asked, uninterested in really doing anything right then.

She seemed puzzled.

"Scarlet, it's 30 degrees," Said Katrina, a --get this-- Grinesolian.

I had never met a Grinnesolian before. They're very powerful. But what's weird is that they don't have a Royal. All species have 'Mini' Royals. No matter what kind, the Royal would always be more powerful than the regular kinds of that species. But Grinesolians didn't even have a 'Mini' Royal. And they were powerful enough to get on the 'Top Ten Most Powerful Species These Last 100 Years.' They were #7.

"It is?" Scarlet asked. "It doesn't feel like it."

"That's because you're a fire element," Katrina explained.

"Oh."

Scarlet looked embarrassed. I felt a pang of sympathy for her. Angels were always raised by the normal ways to live, since we were born with wings. I had never thought about how hard it might be to have to learn this all at a later age. I felt like it might've felt like her whole life was a lie. I tried to stop thinking about it.

"Have any of you ever been to an Angel Season?" I asked.

"Yes," Said the other Grinesolian, Theodore.

"Alright, anyone else?"

No one else answered.

"What exactly is Angel Season?" Scarlet asked.

"It's basically a giant party, celebrating each species' diversities," I explained.

"Oh. I thought it was this really weird cult-hangout-thing."

"Um, no."

We stood there in silence for just a moment. For some reason I wanted to laugh at what Scarlet had said. But I kept my composure.

"Theo, how are you holding up? Kat, you too?" Scarlet asked. "And, Hunter. I guess."

"Okay," Said Katrina.

"Fine," I said.

"Still feel like I might pass out at any second. Other than that, I'm good," Theodore answered. "Also, just so everyone knows, you can all just call me Theo."

Why did I need to know that?

"You can call me Kat," Katrina said.

"And I forgot to tell you guys that you can call me Scar. It's what my friends and family call me," Scarlet said.

They looked at me.

"I can't really have a nickname," I thought of a joke. "What do you wanna call me, Hunny? Hun? Ter? Terhun?"

Scarlet giggled. Katrina smiled a bit. Theo smiled openly. They were a good group of people. They weren't so serious it was annoying, but weren't only playing games the whole time. It seemed like they could get things done, but also joke around with each other. Then someone else walked up. I could literally see over them. I had to look down to see what it was. I was a somewhat young girl. She... looked like a human. I stayed vigilant about my surroundings.

"Who are you?" I asked, annoyed.

My whole life, I had been trained to hate humans. I hated demons, but that was just instinct. I knew what humans had done to monsters.

"My name is A. I'm basically all of your guys' bodyguards," She said in a serious tone of voice.

I noticed a weird shimmering black light next to her. No way...

"Hi A! This is Hunter! You read the file on him. Can we get ice cream now?" Scar asked again without batting an eye.

"Maybe a bit later. I need you guys to come inside. It's almost 18:00," A. said.

Scar looked at her and had a weird expression on her face as if she was thinking.

"5:00," I translated for her.

"Oh."
