Everyone else's outfits weren't all that bad. They all seemed to have the same reaction that I did, though. I wondered if I really looked that bad, then. The one who seemed the most annoyed was Scarlet. I actually really liked the style she had going on, but she had told me that she hated dresses. I saw that now. She openly said her opinion about everything she hated about dresses. She didn't seem to mind the design, it was just the fact that it was a dress that existed and was on her. The only one who didn't complain about their outfit was Theo. But I wasn't too sure he was even aware of what he had on. He looked nice enough, I guessed.

The man tried convincing A. to let him design her a dress, but every time he gave her a reason, she just said his head was going to end up in a wall. Once again, not with a smile or smirk, just with her emotionless frown of disapproval of everything that existed. I wondered what it felt like to be emotionless. I wondered if you felt anything at all. The thought made me somewhat sad, so I tried to stop thinking about what A. felt on a regular basis. Eventually, A. just kicked the guy out after paying him.

"Alright," A. said, closing the door behind the protesting man, "Let's go to this year's Angel Season. Salhom, Damian, and Jesse should already be there. It's not that long of a walk. Just grab a coat and such so you aren't cold."

"King, King, and the Royal," I corrected.

She didn't do anything but sigh. I grabbed a coat, then Katrina grabbed a coat for herself and Theo then helped him put it on, but Scarlet didn't get one.

"Even you, Scarlet. It's -30* outside right now. Even you would be freezing your face off. It's also still dark out, as it is only 6:45 in the morning. Coat," A. instructed.

"How do you know exactly how cold it is? It's probably at least 10*," Scarlet complained, but still grabbed a coat and put it on over her dress.

A. didn't answer her. All she did was open the door for us. We walked out, and started walking towards the indoor plaza. I prayed that this wouldn't go horribly wrong and someone would die or something. Later I felt as if I should've prayed longer and harder.

Angel Season was as hectic as I remembered it was a few years ago. The first time I had attended Angel Season was when I was about 10. You have to be at least 10 to get in, since there is alcohol and such. But, as we are angels, we made sure no one drank enough to get drunk. Only enough that they were happy. The last time I had attended an Angel Season other than at the moment was when I was 14. I didn't like to talk about that year's Angel Season. It was the main reason I didn't really enjoy Angel Season. I didn't really like it originally, but that year made me dislike it more. I had actually never told anyone about that year's Angel Season. But I also hadn't told a single living being about my Corruption either. I wondered how much A. knew, and how much I should've been afraid of her. I tried not to think about it, but it consumed my brain like a unprotected computer with an unstoppable virus.

Luckily the strobe lights distracted me from my mind. I looked around at everyone. Scarlet was looking around at everything in awe. She still seemed unconsciously annoyed at the fact she was wearing a dress, but other than that she seemed pretty excited. I wondered if she had lied to me when she said she didn't like parties and these kinds of things in general. Then I thought, maybe she had never been invited to one, so she assumed they were stupid. This made me have sympathy for her, but I just went onto the next face I was familiar with. Katrina actually linked elbows with Theo to keep him from falling. He looked terrible. Well, they both did, but he looked like he was greeting Death himself.

"I'm going to find a place for Theo and I to sit down. I'll send you a text when we find a good place for all of us," She looked at Scarlet.

We had all exchanged numbers, but it wasn't surprising to me that Katrina would text Scarlet. They seemed to be somewhat close unlike Katrina and myself. I looked at A. Then I saw I couldn't find her. She was gone.
