What Are You To My Son?

I've known for awhile that my son has fallen for The Princess Of The Danes Torvi the only daughter of King Harald Fine Hair. But I want to know if she's fallen for him to. And seeing the fact that they still hug each other good bye ever time one of them leave. But when there together there always talking or watching each other so maybe my son's feelings are not as one sided as I once thought they where. But seeing as where to go back to Kattegat tomorrow I'm going to find out what is happening between my son and Princess Torvi by asking her because I know that his in love with her.

"Torvi what are you to my son." I saw the look on her face when I asked her and I knew that something has happened between the two of them, maybe my son finally made his move.

"What do you mean Lagertha?" Torvi asked and I knew that I would have to say exactly what I meant, so I do.

"Torvi do you love my son as more then a friend should. Because I know that he does love you as more then a friend should, so I'm asking you again do you love my son as more then a friend should, Torvi."

"I'm not sure about any of it, Lagertha promise me that what I tell stays between us." So I knew that something has happened between the two of them and I want to know because I need Bjorn to find the right person for him and I think that the right person for him.

"I promise you that what you tell me will stay between the two of us." I saw her take in a breath before talking again,

"Bjorn and I have had a few moments and kissed a few times, I do like him maybe even love him but I couldn't do that to Gyad and Halfdan because that's my brother and his best friends with Bjorn while I'm best friends with his sister and your daughter Gyad. And Ingrid, Gunnhild, Snaefrid and Porunn all have a thing for him and that would start more drama then anything I've ever been a part of before. While Astrid wouldn't care about it seeing as they where only together one time and just because really close friends, and Margrethe just wouldn't care because she just wouldn't until something went wrong, so the whole thing is just messed up and I can't mess everything up with Bjorn and I's thing, what ever it is because I'm not sure but he told me that he loved me Lagertha."

And it was like a river the words just flowed out like a river down a mountain. I was in shock that my son Bjorn Ironside who never shows anyone any feelings was telling Torvi that he was in love with her, that it's self was the shocking part but Gods love Torvi and how she's worrying about everyone else before her own feelings for Bjorn. She's going to be a great mother one day and hopefully mother of my son's children.

"Torvi, as much as I love you, you need to do something for yourself because you are a great princess and person but you always put yourself last you even thank the slaves and do some of there jobs for them, so Torvi I want you to do something for you and don't think about what every one else will think or act out on just do something that makes you happy, because if I could go back I would of tried to make things work out better between Ragnar and I so don't make that same mistake as I did because you'll regret it for the rest of your life." I told her because it's bull shit that she has to be unhappy because some of her friends have fallen for my son who they will never have a chance with, but I love how she cares for her brother's and Gyad's blessing before doing anything, well anything more then the two of them kissing a few times.

"I know that if I do this for myself then most of Kattegat is going to hate me and so is Princess Snaefrid, Ingrid, Gunnhild and Porunn. So I don't know if it is all wroth it." I know that Torvi is a very loyal person so by doing this she would be going against most of the things that she believes in.

"Torvi think of it this way Ivar. You and I both know that you where always more of a mother to Ivar then Alsaug was anyway and you where only ever there for a few weeks at a time but now he sees you as the one person in this world who will never treat him like a cripple but a man." I told her while she smiled at the thought of Ivar and hers relationship.

"I think that you are right Lagertha so when we get back to Kattegat I'll talk to Bjorn, and maybe Halfdan." She told me and I smile because just maybe I'll get the daughter-in-law that I actually want to have and love, added bonus is that then no one can force my son into a marriage that is not wanted.

The next day

"Margrethe and Torvi it's time that we travel back to Kattegat and then start to ready some of the ships. Torvi and Margrethe will ride back while I'll take the boats, see you both soon and Torvi talk to him." I said while Torvi and Margrethe got on their horse. I saw the look in Margrethe's face which was telling me that the two of them will have a lot to talk about on the way back to Kattegat which is only a two hour horse ride unless they go throuh the villages on the way back.

"I'll do that Lagertha, see you soon if you get there before us then it means we would have gone the long way through the villages." I knew that she was going to do it only because she was smiling while saying it.

"Good bye I shall she you both in Kattegat, by the end of the day no later. Okay?"

"Okay, Okay" the two of them both said before riding away towards Kattegat and my family, Bjorn and Gyad.

"Alright it's time to go, get to the ships and now let's go raid England with King Ragnar and King Harald." I yelled over Hedeby who broke out in cheers of joy because what Viking doesn't love raiding and when it's with two Kings well that just makes it so much better.
