Jim Point of view

It was morning and I just woke up after a long day of fighting an evil plant monster, God when did my life become so bizarre that that sounded like the most saying sentence I said in awhile. I'm just lucky that plants pheromones didn't affect me

I'm going downstairs when heading into the front room only to find my mummy sitting at the table drinking a coffee, it was unusual to find her up this early but judging by the serious look on her face I can tell that she wants to talk

Mum looking towards me with a serious but relaxed look: Jim we need to talk please sit down

I know better than to argue with my mother especially when she makes that kind of face so I sit down at the chair across from her

Mum looking down at her lap: Jim I know there is something you're not telling me, and whatever it is is causing you to slip up with grade to be late to school and causing you to get arrested. I'm getting worried about you and the fact that you're not telling me anything

I looked down at my lap in shame I want to tell her everything but what exactly am I supposed to say " okay Mum I am the protector of an underground city of troll i've also been nearly killed more times than I can count in the past couple of months" she'd either not believe me or I think I am mental either way it's a lose lose situation

Mum carried on speaking: I know teenagers aren't supposed to tell their parents everything, I obviously didn't and you don't have to tell me what's going on either

I quickly raise my head raising an eyebrow in confusion: what?

Mum continued speaking: I can't deny that your recent behaviour has got me worried sick but if you think you need to go through whatever this is a alone  then you can do it alone but I want you to promise me that you're talking to someone I don't mean Toby. Someone like a teacher or someone that's going through a similar situation. Can you promise that for me

I nod on my head in agreement: yeah I can do that if I make you feel better Mum and I am sorry that I can't tell you what I'm going through I just feel as if I need to stand on my own 2 feet for this one

Mum get up out of a chair and comes to me and gives me a hug as she kisses me on the forehead: thank you sweetie and remember if you ever need me to talk I'm here

I look up at her: thanks Mum

All of a sudden Mum started sniffing my hair like a bloodhound, I pull out of the hug to see my mum standing frozen still a little embarrassed by what she just did

Mum going a little red-faced: sorry sweetie but your hair smelt really nice did you use some new shampoo

I then realise that it's probably the pheromones that the plant sprayed on me before I killed it, however I don't really have time to come up with a good excuse so I get my bag because I need to get ready for school: no I didn't must be that new cologne Toby gave me

Mum waved at me goodbye: okay have fun at school sweetie and try to stay out of trouble

I wave back at her giving her a nervous chuckle: I make no promises

Well that was weird, But I guess it doesn't really matter he didn't seem to hurt my arm eventually found it rather nice maybe whatever the plant pheromones Did to me make me smell really nice I don't see how that would be a problem

Narrators point of view

Unknown to Jim and the second he walked out of the door and down the driveway his mother placed her hand down her trousers and placed the other hand on her breasts as she began to play with herself
