How to steal your bridge (short)

Hi everyone sorry this is going to be a short chapter but I don't have a lot of time today and I wanted to get this one done.

In the Woods outside of Arcadia

Claire point of view

We in the words because we need to find a secluded spot to build a killer head bridge, I asked not Enrique to hide in one of the boxes is it called that way I had an emotional anchor to wherever the big pieces were being dumped.

I ask everyone what their opinion is of the place that we found to build a bridge: do you think this is included enough?

Darci spins around: this one out in the woods we could hide a dragon

Toby: or maybe some dead bodies

I'll grab my shadow staff and ready to open a portal: okay this is going to be a long process and opening portals are already hard work and I don't know how much I've got in me

Mary: you still got an a lot better since the demigod started teaching us I mean seriously so I can make a living snowman and Darci can create fire wings and fly.

I open a portal and I'm about to walk through it when Toby and Darci try to follow, I asked them what they're doing: what are you doing I need you guys to stay here so I have an emotional anchor back.

Darci worried: but you have no idea where you're going you need some backup just in case

I nodded my head in agreement that this is going to try to be stealthy I'm going to need someone that's good at sneaking around that's mainly Mary

I look at Mary and give her a signal to follow me through once we are through we are met with complete and total darkness luckily I brought a flashlight and I turn it on and look around the room at all the boxes that's when I hear one of the crates start to open to reveal not Enrique.

I ask: what are you doing in there better question where do you think we are

Not Enrique: i'm in here because I - I mean Susie is afraid of the dark with all those creepy noises it was freaking her out, and for us where we are I have no idea I keep hearing words like set a course or Captain. We could be on a spaceship for all I know

Mary presses her ear up against the wall, that's what I feel is being picked up off the ground and then dumped in what sounds like water we have no time to waste I try opening as many photos as I can to get as many pieces as I can out however just as one we get to the last two pieces I'm out of energy

Mary tries to buy us more time as water pours in from the pressure by freezing the holes but that won't last long that's when not Enrique started taunting me

Not Enrique: I knew you couldn't do it you can't do anything

I raise my eyebrow in fury: excuse me!

Not Enrique Point to me as he talks that little Mongo: you wanna know why I stuck around might as well tell you since we're going to die anyway I stuck around because you're too much of a pushover I can do anything I want and you can't stop me.

My grip increases on my shadow staff: excuse me how dare you

That's when Mary joined in: yeah you're the reason Jane decided to go into the dark lines by himself he knew that you were too weak to help him

My blood it begins to boil am I to suppose it friends that are making fun of me why are they doing this: hey it's not my fault Jim decided to protect us all by going in by himself don't put this on me!

Mary yells: are you mad Claire!

I scream back later: yeah I'm angry

Not Enrique: good now make a portal and get us out of here

Those genius is they were trying to get me angry so I would have enough energy to open the last few bottles but it won't be enough we have to hurry we get the last two pieces to the portal however just before we could walk through away after it closes and I don't have enough in me for one more bottle

Mary tries to freeze the walls but the pressure is becoming too much for the cargo hold as the wall begins to collapse in and water comes in from all sides we immediately up to our next in seawater

I'm trying to activate my shadow staff but I'm exhausted: I can't open another one I'm too tired

Mary: Claire just imagine never seen Jim again that should be enough to open another photo just picture it the last time you see Jim was when he goes into the dark lands by him self, just imagine that

I do what she says and I imagine that the idea of never seeing him again and it feels my heart with so much sadness and pain and anger that gives me just enough to activate my shadow staff and open a portal allowing us and a lot of seawater to come through.

I gasp for air as I take a look at my surroundings were back in the forest and we stole all the pieces of the bridge Toby is ecstatic and saying we pulled off a bridge heist but something catches my attention why is Steve here? And why is he unconscious although that's probably a good thing

Toby answers my thoughts when he sees me looking over at Steve: oh yeah Steve came looking for me because he was upset that I became SPINKING! So he was coming to looking for a fight then that water came out of the sky and I think he hit is head on one of the boxes

Darci: so what should we do with him

Toby Smiles like a super villain: oh I have a few ideas.  I have a few ideas ha ha

Okay like I said this is a short chapter and just for the record the next episode that I am going to be writing is kanjigaaarrrggghhh I think I spelt that correctly anyway see you next time
