"You'll never get away with this Dusk!" exclaimed the Red Crystal Ranger, quivering as he held smaller versions of shiny stones.
The Evil Ex-hero glared at his once companion, sin brewing in his cold eyes, "Oh I already have."
Dusk rose his ebony blade and slashed his opponent. He smirked as he left his now foe powerless.
"You will never win!" cried the brightly-suited paladin. In one massive attempt to conclude his legacy, the ranger striked Dusk with the power of his five gems before sending them deep in space.
Dusk was infuriated by the loss of the artifacts he was instructed to aquire. This resulted in a sword stabbed into the hero's chest. The brute tossed aside the dead body and marched towards a palace in ruins. Enormous gold doors crashed onto to the floor making way for the new guest.
"Long time no see, brother," said the tyrant,"Now where is that my darling niece, is she doing alright?"
Hiding behind the throne of her father, Princess Pearl held in her breath and tears. Next to her, the bodies of dead Crystalian nobles and warriors laid to rest.
"Pearl has been transported to a much safer planet, you won't find her," lied King Orbis, a strange looking alien with shining blue skin and gold markings.
"Thinking ahead I see..." stalled Dusk.
''Always ten steps ahead of you," said Orbis, even in failure, the lord stood tall.
"No, not this time," said Dusk.
Orbis, straightened up.
"Your conquest of Crystalia is meaningless," revealed Orbis,"Whether you win or lose, there will always be light to cancel out the darkness." He still kept his calmed composure.
"Ah yes," retorted Dusk."But you forget, brother, that the Eclipse stands between them all."
"You always were the foolish one of our kin," insulted King Orbis, as if he was pitying his sibling.
A growl formed on the traitor's obsidian skin.
"Soldiers, rise and be my witness!" bellowed Dusk.
By command, the soldiers were summoned. They had a unique green swirl on their face and held a staff with a claw at the end of it.
Orbis was surrounded by the soldiers. He tried his best to hold them off but failed miserably. Then Dusk joined in. In a few quick blows, their childhood memories had been betrayed.

Forcibly, King Orbis was dragged out of his palace, knowing it would be the last time he'd ever see light again.
All that was left in the great palace was Pearl, the once heir, silently bawling.
