This was news to Noah of course who thought she would be down for at least another month. As

soon as they were alone he rounded on her, "You're going back to work?"


"Technically, I've been working since they took out the tubes," Eva informed him.


"Are you crazy? Wait...don't answer that." Noah second-guessed. "Why...I don't even know what

to say!"


"I'm fine Noah, you're just babying me to death."


"No, I'm trying to take care of you," Noah explained. "You take crazy chances with your life....and

why are you smiling?"


"Now you know how I felt every time you went to work."


"That was my job, Eva!"


"And it didn't make my worries any less!"


"You were that worried?"


"Why did you think I made those changes to your car? Your clothes?"


"What did you do to my clothes?"


"Some of your jackets have ...um...Kevlar."


"You put Kevlar in my jacket and still threw yourself at me!"


"He was aiming for your head!" Eva explained. "Plus, it doesn't completely stop all ranges of

bullets, it just makes it harder to penetrate. It's not like the ones on your vest. It's a blend, so it's

lighter and made to mimic clothes."


"Do any of your outfits have that?"


"God no! I wear couture."


"What does that have to do with anything?"


"One dress can cost up to four grand, if I have to pay a designer to add the blend to the fabric it

can cost me around ten to fifteen grand an outfit then multiply that by my wardrobe. I'd be 

broke by winter."


"Wear less then," Noah suggested.


Eva looked aghast. "I can't be you... recycling clothes!"


"You sound like a snob." Noah teased.


"And you sound ignorant." Eva quipped.


"That makes no sense!"


"It won't, to the lesser mind." Eva rebutted, putting her nose in the air. "Anyway, I have
