I found the endless void of space quite comforting compared to the closed in surrounding of any planet. There was no ground beneath your feet but only stars.

"Get your feet down. Where were you raised, Corellia?" The voice of my father yelled down at me.

"No but you were." I smiled up to him innocently.

"Yeah, but I have manners! Feet down." He scoffed lifting my feet off of the ships console and dropping them to the floor of the cockpit.

"When are we gonna be there?" I huffed and spun around in the co-pilot chair. "I have to be back at base soon." I quickly added. As much I loved small rendezvous's running illegal cargo with my father and Chewie, my duty was still to the resistance and my mother.

"Soon." He replied curtly. As we sat in the cockpit in silence I looked over at the old man. His hair had dulled a great deal since I was young, and the frown lines on his face had increased.

"You should smile more." I looked at him narrowing my eyes slightly. "You're getting frown lines."

"No I'm not." He spoke back defensively.

"Chewie doesn't he have frown lines?" I looked over at the fuzzy giant who had just walked in.

"Mmmmh." Chewie replied nodding his head. Dad looked over at him with a shocked look as I laughed.

"See?" I chuckled.

"You two just like to gang up on me it's not fair!" He pouted.

"It's all in good fun, but I really do have to get to Maz's soon. You know since you and mom are too difficult and neither of you want to know the others location—"

"Hang on." He held his hand up to me and I looked over at where he was staring. Off in the distance was what looked like a ship barely running.

"That's a piece of junk." I pointed out.

"That's my piece of junk! Chewie get over here!" He gestured over to him as Chewie let out a loud yell upon seeing the ship.

"Padmé lock down that ship and get it in here." He pointed at me. "And I'm going to go shoot whoever is in my ship." He mumbled as him and Chewie left for the cargo hold.

I did as he said and secured the ship within ours.

"Get down here I need you to look at something!" Dads voice rang over the intercom about ten minutes later. Lazily I made my way down to the main hold to see the ship I had grown up hearing about.

"This is the famous ship?" I yelled walking up the ramp. It was old and worn down, but I knew it held lots of sentimental value to my father and Chewie. Going down the main walkway a girl and boy about my age came into view.

"They say they're Resistance." Dad nodded over to them.

"I've never seen them—"

"Reoooooooow!" Was the noise coming from the droid barreling towards me. I quickly recognized the little guy as the boy claiming to be Resistance looked at me anxiously.

"BB-8? What are you doing here?" I asked the droid as he replied quickly. Through his different beeps I quickly found out about mission he was on and what he was harboring, how the girl who I learned as Rey found and helped him, and the boy known as Finn who was indeed not part of the Resistance.

"Where is Poe?" I looked over at Finn. BB-8 left out where his best friend was, my best friend.

"He—he didn't make it." Finn looked down at his feet as I neared and quickly pulled my blaster. Dad and Chewie backed up quickly and Rey stepped in front of him.
