Unlike all GRA forces of the Galactic Republic, John's unit make use of captured weapons even the ones banned. This makes the unit more tougher and allow them to operate better. Some are improvised by the Marines themselves in order to make their fight easier in conditions where the Republic has lack of the weapons needed.
