How One Vacation Changed Everything

CHAPTER 3: Planning

Siggy's Point Of View
"Harald we should do something with your family seeing as we won't be around for ever and neither will they, soon your children will have their own children and you will be a grandfather. You know what we should go for a vacation."

I've been married to Harald for quite some time now but never once have his family and i gone on a vacation anywhere and I want that to change because Halfdan and Torvi both have stable jobs now and soon they'll be married and have children of their own and it will happen in a blink of an eye.

"I think you are right about this my love, we'll ask when everyone's free tonight at our family dinner." He told me and I knew that I would finally get to go on vacation with them all.

"That would be lovely and speaking of dinner I should probably go and check on it." Thinking back on my past, I haven't been able to do that for quite some time because every time I do all I see is my husband's dead and my three children dead to, we got into a car crash and I was the only one to live and for a long time I didn't think that I should be happy but then I met Harald and little by little my happiness was coming back.

Harald's Point Of View
I knew that by just giving in and saying that we would go would be the easiest thing and I don't have to worry about anyone being free seeing as all my children are school teachers and get the summer off, I think that we'll go to Australia because I've always wanted to go just never had the time but I guess I'm going to be going.

"Harald can you get the door?" Siggy yelled from the kitchen.

"Yer honey," opening the door I saw my sister, Floki and Angrboda.

"Hey uncle Harald mum said that where going to be going on vacation, so where are we going?" Always one to just ask never waiting for the right time because for her any time works because she is still a child only having turned 18 last week.

"Well if you wait for your cousins then you'll find out." I said just as Torvi and Halfdan walked though the door and asked the same thing I guess no one in this family likes waiting.

"Come in we'll talk about it in the dinning room where Siggy can be involved too."

We where all sitting at the dinner table eating our food and talking about little things till my sister just straight up asked,

"Harald I know that where all going to be going on vacation together so just tell us where we'll be going."

"Okay, okay. I was thinking that we could go to Australia seeing as we've never been there before and all we would do is relax at the beach or by the rivers it has everything." I saw all of them nod their heads before Torvi asked,

"When are we going, Dad." Thinking about it I want to go on Friday because it just seems like a good time to fly out.

"This Friday so you have five days to pack then we'll be gone." Halfdan just nodded his head before walking over to the sink and starting to do the washing up and soon Torvi was up and helping, they'll be good parents one day, hopefully not anytime soon.

Alsaug's Point Of View
"Ragnar I want to go to Australia for a vacation, where going and that's the end of it. I've got tickets for Friday morning tell the children and your ex wife will be coming to because even if she's your ex I'm not going to stop her from holidaying with her children." I told him while paying for all the tickets even Lagertha's because I just feel like going away for awhile, and hopefully there won't be any drama in Australia because there meant to be nice people so hopefully that means no drama for my family at least. And i know that if I didn't invite Lagertha then Bjorn and Gyda wouldn't come and Ragnar's always loved them more then our children together and that has always hurt, hell his still in love with his ex wife.

"That sounds great I'll tell everyone," I knew by that he would just message them all saying that where going on holidays for the summer to Australia, what could go wrong.

Lagertha's Point Of View
Looking down at my phone I saw a message from Ragnar saying that where all going to Australia for the summer and I was shocked that I was getting invited to this but I'm not complaining because I've always wanted to see a kangaroo or something like that I can't remember what it's name was, I guess I should probably start to find some clothes to bring with me while where away and seeing as it's Australia you never know what the weathers gonna do or so I've heard.
