"Wait what? How'd you get your hands on this!" Alex asked as he examined the book.

"Uhm well my dad actually wrote it." John said sheepishly as he rubbed his neck.

"This is amazing! Your dad is an inspiration to us cripples! Can I read it?"

"Ya but you have to wait a little bit. I'm giving it to Sera tomorrow so she can read it first. After her I'll let you but just promise me that you'll keep it between us. The authorities have been trying to confiscate all copy's and my dads been getting a lot of heat for it." John explained.

"Ya for sure. I'm just grateful I can finally read it." Alex responded as he passed back the book.

"Thanks, that would mean a lot to my dad if he were here to hear it."

"I'll have to tell him sometime."

After that conversation with John, Alex's weekend was completely uneventful. All he did was on homework and workout. He had tried hangout with John and Sera, but the two love birds where enjoying there sweet time alone together.

"Mr. Welsh can you please explain to me how to solve this problem?" A voice asked form the front of the room.

Alex was instantly ripped from his thoughts and blinked a couple of times to regain his composure.

"Can you repeat the question?" Alex asked causing a couple of kids in the class to snicker.

"Well since you've obviously not been paying attention I'll ask you one more time. Can you please tell me how to solve this problem." The teacher asked annoyed.

Alex scanned over the board and quickly put together how to solve the problem.

"You'll have to take the derivative of the function and then test for the concavity using the second derivative test."

The teacher narrowed her eyes at the boy before turning back to the board.

"You're lucky Mr. Welsh. You won't be able to save yourself all the time when you're caught daydreaming."

"Yes ma'am." Alex grumbled.

"Good save." A voice said from beside him.

"Ya no kidding." Alex responded as he rolled his eyes at Sera.

"You want to ditch class with me and John the rest of the day?"

"Sure what are we going to do?" Alex asked with a grin.

"I don't know, Johns probably got some sort of idea at what we can do."

"Alright, just lead the way." Alex smiled as the bell rang.

The duo made there way out of class and down the halls. Alex couldn't help but smile as his classmates shot him dirty looks left and right. He knew they wanted to beat him down but as long as Sera was there, he was untouchable.

"Where we going?" Alex spoke up.

"The roof." Sera responded as she started to climb the flight of stairs in front of her.

Alex followed the girl up the stairs until she pushed open the door allowing sunlight to flood the dim staircase.

"Man is it nice up here." Alex said to himself as he stepped into the sunlight.

The blond walked forward until he stood at the railing and peaked over the edge. He could see most of Wellston's campus from up here. It was actually pretty cool considering he had never been up here before.
