Reunited

"What?" Remi managed to croak out.

Alex suddenly felt his phone vibrate and slid the device out of his pocket just enough to read the screen.

Get to Johns apartment ASAP. He needs medical treatment——Sera

Alex quickly slid his phone back into his pocket and stood up from the table.

"I have to go."

"Wait Alex you can't just leave me like that!"

"Sorry Remi, you're just a better person then I am." Alex said as he placed a twenty on the table and took off outside the store.

Remi sat there flabbergasted at the scene that had just unfolded in front of her. She still couldn't comprehend what happened. The only thing she did know is that her conversation with Alex wasn't finished. She was going to get to the bottom of it, no matter how much it took.

Alex could feel his lungs starting to collapse with each step he took. In the whole rush of things he hadn't even think to call himself a car. Instead he had just taken off down the road and hadn't stopped since.

Eventually the blond made it to Wellston Hights and sprinted up the stairs to reach Johns floor. As Alex reached his destination he slammed his fist into the door three times to alert everyone inside that he had finally arrived.

As he waiting for a response he placed his hands onto his legs and squatted down but quickly stood back up when he found a puddle of dried blood on the floor.

"Hey thanks for coming on such short notice. I didn't know who else to call besides you and Elaine." Sera said as she opened the door enough for Alex to come in.

"Ya no problem. Where is he?" Alex asked in between breaths.

"He's asleep on the couch. Elaine just left a little before you got here so I think he's tired from her healing."

Alex nodded and made his way into Johns living room. He peaked over the couch and let out a deep breath when he found John out cold, still covered in his blood stained clothes.

"Did he say what happened to him?" Alex whispered.

"No I found him outside on the sidewalk and it seemed like he was having a break down. I'm scared for him Alex." Sera said scaredly.

"Hey don't worry about him, he'll pull through. It's just been a long three weeks without you and I think the constant beat downs were getting to him." Alex explained as he pulled the girl into a hug.

Sera instantly returned the gesture and attempted to stop a sob from escaping her mouth but faired miserably.

"Hey hey hey, let's let John sleep. You can let it all out in there." Alex whispered as he quickly made their way into John's room and shut the door.

"Thank you." Sera sniffled.

"No problem. Why the heck are you back early? I thought you were suppose to be out for another week?"

"I was but living at home with my parents was hell. I left after I got into it with my mom but thankfully she was equally as happy to get rid of me." Sera responded as she wiped a tear off her eye.

"Ahhhh I got you."

"What about you guys? Was it really that bad?"

"Yes." Alex said while failing to contain a laugh.

"Everyday me and John got to hangout in the infirmary together. Did you know that Doc has a girlfriend? Him off all people."

Sera let out a small laugh and smiled.

"Thanks for looking after him Alex. I bet it would have been a lot worse if he didn't have anyone else to turn too."

"No problem."

"SERA!" A voice yelled from the other room.

Sera quickly pushed past Alex and through the door before jumping over the couch and onto John.

"HEY THAT HURTS!" John whined.

*SMACK*

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" The black haired boy yelled as he rubbed his check.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again!" Sera screamed back as she wrapped her arms around John and dug her face into his shoulder.

The boy sat there shocked and quickly returned the gesture. It wasn't until Alex popped his head over the couch and scared John that to two broke apart.

"Morning sleeping beauty." Alex said with a snicker.

"Jesus man why do you always pop up out of nowhere." John shot back as he regained his composure.

"Oh just admit it, you love having me around."

"Not when you're such a cockblock." John mumbled to himself.

*SMACK*

"OW!" John screamed as he rubbed his check again.

Sera pushed herself off of John and sped walked into his room before slamming the door.

"Damn bro you sure fucked up." Alex whistled as he plopped down on the arm rest of the couch.

"What? I didn't even mean it in a bad way!" John whined.

"Bro you legit haven't seen her in three weeks and that's one of the first things you say around her? Major asshole move." Alex said as he nodded his head back and forth.

"Who's side are you even on?" John replied slightly annoyed.

"I'm not on either of your sides. I'm just a spectator in your relationship. But I will give you a word of advise. You better fix your fuck up with Sera before she really gets pissed and leaves you."

Johns eyes widened at Alex comment. He quickly pushed himself up off the couch and made a beeline towards his room.

"SERA I NEED TO APOLOGIZE!" John stated confidentially as he opened his bedroom door and entered before slamming it shut.

Alex let out a small laugh before falling off the arm rest and onto the main portion of the couch. He laid there for about ten minutes or so before getting up and walking over to the kitchen.

"Let's see what you got John."

The blond dug through the fridge and found a perfectly made turkey sandwich. Alex smiled as he picked it up and placed it into his mouth right before hearing Johns bedroom door open.

John and Sera both walked out of the room looking a lot happier then when they both went in. The two made their way over to the living room but quickly turned towards the kitchen when they found Alex not on the couch.

"DUDE THATS MY DINNER!" John yelled as he stomped over to Alex.

"Shouldn't have left it there buddy." Alex responded as he took another bite.

John lunged forward towards Alex in an attempt to grab what remained of the sandwhich. Alex quickly seeing what John was trying to do side stepped and allowed the boy to slam face first into fridge.

"Can you at least try not to injure my boyfriend?" Sera mumbled as she finally came into the kitchen.

Alex rolled his eyes and caught John as he stumbled backwards.

"So are you two good here by yourselves?" Alex asked trying to change the conversation while he took his last bite of the sandwich.

"Ya the quicker you get out of here the less pain I end up being in." John butt in as he pushed Alex off him.

"Whatever you say." Alex smiled as he made his way to the door to leave.

"Oh wait Alex I forgot to ask, I didn't pull you away from anything important right?" Sera called from the kitchen.

Alex felt a wave of dread wash over him as he remembered his previous conversation he was having with Remi.

"Nah it was nothing." Alex said as he waved goodbye to the couple and stepped outside.

But as the door slammed shut Alex let out a deep sigh.

"Nothing important my ass."
