"You're weak," Felix sang to himself and Noah rolled his eyes, laughing gently as he worked on the weights the buff vampire had sourced for him. He doubted they even needed to work out yet Felix was doing an alarming amount of push-ups without so much as a gasp of breath. His body was insane, Noah decided. He was all muscle, there wasn't an ounce of fat on him. Maybe that was a vampire thing, Noah didn't know enough to ask. Felix had been catching him up on everything vampire but he had selective memory about some things.
"Are you always this charming?" Noah wondered, sliding down the bench he'd been lying on and pulling himself to sit. His arms, for the first time in a long time, were out. Arms that he was proud of but never had the chance to show off. The people here weren't idiotic enough to try and touch him.
"Only with my friends," Felix winked up at him and Noah chuckled, shaking his head, flipping back his untamed curls. He hadn't bothered to gel them today and was now regretting them as they fell all over the place.
"So we're friends now?" Noah quirked a brow and wiped the towel over his neck. Felix also wasn't his type but Noah wasn't idiotic enough to try and claim that Felix was anything other than what he was-- devastatingly beautiful. Even if he'd been the cause for his bruised arms and recent kidnapping.
"Depends," Felix smirked, twisting to sit and face him, bracing his forearms on his knees. Noah narrowed his eyes.
"Depends on what?"
"Friends... Is that what you want us to be?" Felix smirked and Noah stared at him for a long moment before they both fell into jovial laughter at the suggestive tone Felix had painted. The bulky man had spent the entire morning chatting about Heidi's ass and even though Noah wasn't attracted to females, he had to agree that she had an incredible one. She was stunning as they all were.
"What's so funny?" speak of the devil. Heidi rounded the corner with her arms crossed as though she'd been standing there listening to them all morning. Noah doubted she'd have the patience to even stand there for half an hour. Though she wasn't alone, Renata strutted at her side with a sultry smirk. She'd certainly been taking lessons with Heidi on how to wiggle her hips like that and Felix's eyes were drawn to the action despite the fact that Heidi was right there and definitely noticed.
"Just initiating the new kid," Felix lied smoothly and Heidi narrowed her eyes, glancing between them. The previous day, Noah had been shocked to find that they had all accepted him with open arms. They were less a company and more a family once you passed through the doors of the guards quarters and that was almost definitely because they'd lived together for so long but they treated him as though he was one of them, even if he was human. He suspected it was because of his gift.
"If I touched you, would I fall hopelessly in love with you?" Renata asked with a small smirk as she sat beside him. Felix and Heidi began to bicker about something nonsensical and likely pointless and Noah had already grown accustomed to it. Whatever this was with Renata, whatever the reason that she winked at him in corridors and spoke to him in a sultry tone-- it wasn't what it implied. He'd seen the way she glanced at Santiago when she thought he wasn't looking. Either Noah was a welcome distraction or a means to make Satinago jealous... He didn't know but when she smiled at him like that-- he didn't care. She was beautiful and sweet and she also seemed to notice and acknowledge that his eyes lingered more on Felix than on her.
