"The History of being boring," thump. " A simple guide to jumping out a window," thump, "What to do when you're feeling bored," thump, Noah dropped random books on top of random piles and coughed when the dust clogged his mouth. He had never been so bored in his entire life and he was now taking back every word he'd said to Caius the previous night. If the library had been on a floor higher, it might have been worth going for a leap but as it stood, his chance of surviving with nothing but a pair of broken legs as proof of his jump made it seem much less appealing.
"How'd you get roped into this one?" Felix questioned from across the room, stacking books in a random fort formation on the rug around him. They had been set the task of reorganising the library to fit a hoard of new books. It hadn't seemed so bad, to begin with until they realised that the books were all alphabetical and they'd have to move everything. "We're here because Alec caught us at it in the broom cupboard, you know, change of scenery and he snitched on us to Aro. Apparently, it's unseemly, can't imagine why,"
"I like to call it vampire detention," Heidi popped her head up over a wall of books and Noah chuckled at the pure lack of shame for what Felix had just admitted. They would likely do it in the corridor if Aro wouldn't stick them in detention for it.
"Hmm, well, I may have suggested yesterday that this place isn't so bad. I think this is Caius' way of punishing me for getting too comfortable," he whistled, flicking through a book with boredom on his face. Originally, he'd actually done what he was supposed to do and now he no longer cared. Some of the books didn't even have visible titles and most were in a language that made his head hurt.
"Dangerous. Can't have you enjoying yourself now, can we?" Heidi grinned and he laughed again, watching her kick over Felix's fort... He pouted like a child when she did.
"So you and Master Caius then, eh?" Felix suggested, wiggling his eyebrows, Noah snorted. "That's why we snatched you off the streets, you know, it didn't really have anything to do with your powers... That's just a wicked bonus. Bet Caius was pleased when his soulmate was dragged into the room kicking and screaming."
"Well, you know me, had to make an entrance, didn't I?"
"You, my friend, are the best thing to happen to this place since they employed that sexy red-headed maid," Felix smirked, waggling a book in Noah's direction and he smirked where he had his ankles rested on the desk, twirling side to side in his spinny desk chair.
"Are you flirting with me again Felix?" he questioned with a grin, tossing his hands behind his head.
"Oh absolutely. You're hot, I'm hot, why the hell not?"
"Probably because Caius would cut you into bite-sized pieces," Heidi mused, seeming entirely uncaring of the conversation as she worked on her own bookcase.
"Why am I maiming Felix?" a voice questioned and the three of them turned as the door opened. Speak of the devil.
"Master," Heidi nodded. "They were planning a quicky in the broom closet," she shrugged and the two brunet men exchanged a look before glancing back at Caius.
