"Pawblo, are you okay?"

"What? I'm fine! I'm fine."

"You've been pacing around in circles for hours. It's making me dizzy." Cataloupe rubbed his eyelids. It was true. Pawblo had been circling for so long that the carpet left marks of his shoes.

"It's the DNA test results that's bothering you, isn't it?" He let out a chuckle, as he curled his mustache. Pawblo nodded. "I guess so. It's just....I'm nervous. I'll be able to know who my parents are....and if they're still out there." His hands were twitching a little, showing signs of anxiety. Cataloupe felt concern for his boyfriend. "Babe, c'mere. Sit with me." He patted a vacant spot next to him on the couch.

Pawblo was hesitant, but soon sat down next to his lover. He felt Cataloupe's huge hand wrap around his shoulder. They huddled closer. "No need to worry, Pawblo. It's okay to be scared. I'm here for you." Cataloupe hummed while resting his head on Pawblo's. "Thanks.....Who knew that the love of my life would be you?" Pawblo snuggled closer to Cataloupe. "Fate. That's what."

A knock can be heard coming from the front door, with the mail flap being pushed. Pawblo and Cataloupe turned to see an envelope fall to the ground. Both ventrexian men got up, and walked over to the door. Pawblo picked up the letter. He held it and stared at his name printed on the delivery address. Cataloupe felt a little concerned.

"I'm here, Blueberry. No matter what the result is, I'll still love you." He rested his hands on his lovers shoulders as he stood behind him. Pawblo nodded and soon opened it. He pulled out a piece of paper, and began to read it. As he read the information, he smiled lightly.

Cataloupe backed up, giving his lover the space and time he needed to read what the results were. "Did....did anything come up?" Pawblo turned around and smiled, with a tear streaming down his eye. "My Dad is alive out there, and I have an address." The older ventrexian's ears perked up. He was happy to hear the good news.

"What....what about your mother?"

".......No result. It's almost as if...she doesn't exist." He shrugged. Cataloupe felt a bit more sad, hearing what Pawblo said. He pulled him into a hug. "It's okay, Pawblo. At least you do have family out there."

The two of them sat down at the table, discussing what their plan was from here on out. "The address is located on Earth. I've never even been there." Cataloupe leaned back on his chair. "I have. A couple times. It was just to speak to ambassadors and Earth generals. Not very exciting, I know." Pawblo nodded. "Yeah, I figured as much. Hopefully, the trip won't be a hassle for me."

"Trip? What trip?"

"I'm going to ask for temporary leave tomorrow, and I'm going to Earth. If my Dad really is out there, I'm going to find him." He had a determined look on his face. Cataloupe nodded, knowing that he couldn't do anything about it. His lover's mind was made up.

"Well in that case, I'm going with you."

Pawblo was surprised to hear this. "Wh-what? No. You're needed here at the base. You're the General. Besides, I don't want to grow suspicion that—!" Cataloupe silenced  his boyfriend with a kiss on the lips. He had to lean down to do so. When they pulled away, Cataloupe placed his paws on Pawblo's shoulders.

"To hell with my duty as General. We're a couple. I'll put everything aside for you, because I love you." He pulled him into a hug. Pawblo was relieved hearing his boyfriend's words. "....Thank you. I was sort of afraid of going alone." A smile formed on his face.

"You're not alone. Not while I'm around, Blueberry." Cataloupe grinned widely as he curled his mustache. "So....if we do meet your parent.....what do we tell him about....us?" His grin turned into a nervous smile. Pawblo didn't think about that. "I wouldn't like to think about your father not being okay with you dating an older fellow like myself, as well as your General."

Pawblo looked away. He hadn't thought about that yet. He didn't even want to. "I....I don't know. If he doesn't agree with this, then that's his problem." He stood up from the table. "I can choose who I love, and I love you. There's no changing that." He smiled lightly.

Cataloupe nodded. "Okay. I have faith in you, as well as us. Wherever you go, I'll follow." They two of them smiled and blushed. After sharing one last kiss, the two of them went up to the bedroom and fell asleep in each other's arms.
