Sorry for the lack of chapters!

The two ventrexian men were walking down the street, both relieved of what they had just endured. Pawblo kept quiet, which caused Cataloupe to feel a bit concerned for his short lover.

"Pawblo? Are you okay?" The large ventrexian was eyeing his lover. His concern began to grow. Pawblo snapped out of it. "Wha-? Oh! Uh, I'm okay, babe. Just...thinking. Today was...today was crazy. I met my biological dad, and...it was my first time traveling with someone I love."

Cataloupe felt touched by his words. "Aw, that's sweet. I'm glad to have met you." He slowly held onto Pawblo's hand. As they walked, the wind grew a little colder. Pawblo shivered a little, as he didn't prepare for this. "I n-never knew it could g-get so cold h-here." He chuckled, seeing his own breath in the wind.

The big ventrexian pointed at a café. "Why don't we go in there, until we can catch a cab back to the hotel?" The café was lit up, and the smell of coffee and hot cocoa reached them. Pawblo nodded, and soon the two of them walked in. The warm air that the A/C was blowing hit them, and it was a relief from the cold.

Pawblo proceeded to sit down at an empty table near the glass window. He stared outside at the city, busy as ever. The cars were passing by, and people kept walking past each other. It was a calming sight to see.

Cataloupe walked up to the table, sitting down across from the cornflower blue ventrexian. He held two cups of hot cocoa, handing one of them to Pawblo. "Here you go, Soldier. It'll keep you warm."

As the two of them drank their hot cocoa, Cataloupe eyed Pawblo. He was happy to have someone like him at his side. Someone so kind, and focused; not to mention handsome. "How's the cocoa treating you?"

"It's delicious." Pawblo let out a warm smile. He was at peace. The setting around him made him feel all cozy inside. It felt strange, yet welcoming. It was a huge difference than back where he used to live. He looked up at Cataloupe, who wasn't staring out the window, but rather staring directly at him.

"What are you smiling about?" Pawblo raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, nothing. Just how I'm the luckiest man in the world." Cataloupe grinned. He winked at Pawblo as he curled his mustache. This led to Pawblo giggling a little. "You can be such a tease, Whiskers."

"Oh, I can be a lot of things." He leaned in closer.

"Guess you'd have to show me sometime, then?" Pawblo smirked.

"Not sure if you could handle it." Cataloupe's grin became a mischievous one, and he soon felt a bit daring. The two of them laughed out loud, but the café was mostly empty so they didn't care.

Pawblo felt at peace. Maybe it was the atmosphere, or the hot cocoa. Maybe it was having an amazing romantic partner like Cataloupe. Either way, he didn't care. He was living the moment, and that's all that mattered.

"Do you...do you want to get out of here?" Cataloupe was surprised by this question. He looked over to Pawblo, who was smiling and blushing. It seemed like the ventrexian he loved dearly was not kidding.

He smiled slyly and pulled out a 5 dollar bill, leaving it on the table for the waiter.

"Sure. Let's go."
