Y/N's POV

"I found a fresh stash of food," Newt said as he walked into the room with his arms full of bags of food. He dropped the many bags on one of the tables before handing them out to each of us.

"I'm not quite sure if you can call this food," Chuck said as he looked sceptically at the bag handed to him.

"Just eat it," Chuck pulled away as Newt ruffled his hair. I giggled a little looking at the two of them.

"How's the wound Y/N?" Chuck asked, "does it still hurt?"

"A little but luckily it's almost healed now," Thomas stroke his thumb over the back of my hand. I looked up and smiled at him before resting my head on his shoulder.

"Yes, luckily," he said and rested his head on top of mine.

The others had returned within an hour or so and by the looks of it, they haven't found anything, looking like they almost have given up. Sullen expressions plastered on their faces. The sight troubled Thomas. I could see it and I get why - if Minho has given up, we're all in big trouble. Newt didn't say anything. A cloud of despair hanging over our heads.

"So, anyway, we have searched and mapped sector 1 to 8. However, we're still trying to uncover this new sector but every time we discover a new path it's gone the next day," Minho sighed as he looked down at the map he had pulled out in front of him. They started talking about different possibilities but their voices became more and more distant. Fading as a pain slightly spread throughout my body.

I lost all sense of time. It all started like the first memory I remember - the box. So empty and cold. I was just staring into the dark. Utter complete darkness. I couldn't see anything, hear anything, smell anything. Just an empty darkness falling upon me. It consumed me. I felt my mind getting taken over by a fog as a string of thoughts overfloded me.

7 1 5 2 6 4 8 3

What is this? Another vision? But it feels different. It's almost like it's a... memory. A memory I can't seem to get my head around. But how can this be a memory? Why these numbers, and why do they look so familiar?

"Y/N," the voice was distant, twisted, like an echo through a long hallway. "Y/N, are you listening to me?"

"Huh? oh, yes," I slightly shooked my head snapping back to reality.

"You were so not listening to me," Minho said gently shaking his head. "Nevermind that, as I was saying, we have been mapping the maze as we know it, but this place doesn't seem to be a part of the maze so I'm not quite sure where we are exactly and what this place is. We did, however, found what seems like an exit with a key panel, but it requires a code so we weren't able to go any further."

"7 1 5 2 6 4 8 3," I muttered.

"What was that?" Thomas said. I didn't even realize I said it out loud.

"Wha...what?" I said as I looked around.

"Y/N are you sure you are okay? You seem a bit off," Newt said as he stepped closer to me. Thomas looked at me with a worried expression.

"Yes, I'm fine. Maybe I'm still just a bit tired."

"Are you sure? You do look a bit pale," Winston said as he placed a hand on my forehead.

"Guys, I'm fine okay, no need to worry," I gently removed his hand from my head, giving them a smile. "I mean it, really, I'm okay. I don't even feel any...," a loud noise interrupted me. All of out heads shot up in the direction of the door.

"Wha...what was that," Chuck stuttered. There it was gain but this time louder than before. I got up from the bench I was sitting on and Thomas did the same. He placed his arm in front of me, standing in front of me as we heard the noise getting louder and louder. I held unto his arm and shirt as fear started to spread among us. A metallic sound spread throughout the hallway outside the room we were in. It was getting closer and closer with each breath I took.

"Stay absolutely still and don't make a sound," Minho whispered and picked up a pipe to use as a weapon. His grip tightened around the metal pipe and we held our breath as the metallic sound stopped. The silence was almost deafening. I held tighter onto Thomas and just as the silence was becoming unbearable, a pain shot through me. I looked down at my arms and saw my veins turning black.

"No, not now," I pleaded but it came out more like a whimper. Thomas turned his head around and his eyes widened when he noticed the black colour spreading across my body. Just as he was about to speak a loud bang was heard and the metal door fell before us. I took a step back ad so did the others. The before suffocating silence was now replaced with screams of terror as the metallic sound cut through our ears. And there it was. Right in front of us. A griever.
