Why Should I Hide Who I Am

The whispering was instantaneous as Charlie walked calmly between the rows of table to stand beside Dumbledore. It took all her self control not to snort in amusement when she realized the students really were color coded like Orlov said. Soon she would be one of them once the sorting process was over with.
She liked the competitive aspect of the different houses, but that was about it. She found it silly that they just slapped on some colors and an animal on a student and basically secluded them from the others. Durmstrang was all about skill and ability, that's how you earned your respect, and your friends.

As is proper, Charlie faced the massive hall of students and bowed her head with a subtle click of her heels before standing back at attention. "Thank you for welcoming me into your school." She spoke loudly for all to hear.

"Well, let's get you sorted, and then we can find you a place to stay." Dumbledore hummed as he had her take a seat. He explained the significance of all of the houses before putting the old raggedy hat on her head. What he failed to mention was the fact that it talked.

"Well, this is interesting." It spoke causing Charlie to frown. "This is quite a hard decision." It grumbled. It went on and on about her, but she was barely paying attention. Charlie was busy looking at the various houses before she caught Fred and George desperately trying to get her attention from the Gryffindor table. As soon as she saw them the hat screamed out "GRYFFINDOR!"

The table erupted into wild cheers as the Slytherin table grumbled in annoyance. She grabbed her bag and walked down to join the table before she was swarmed by the twins. "Welcome to the best house at Hogwarts." George chuckled as they sat down on either side of her.

"What are you doing here?" Fred questioned quickly before she could even respond to George.

"Will you two give her a rest!" Ellie snapped as she swatted them away having rushed over from the  Hufflepuff table. "She looks completely knackered as if she ran all the way here!" She pointed out rather aggressively.

"I did," Charlie responded simply as she looked at their shocked faces. "I have some highly motivated enemies and fled Durmstrang four days ago, fought off five wizards and nearly died about three times...give or take." She explained leaving them all stunned into silence. "Oh and I met your mum after I crash landed near your house." Charlie added giving the twins a polite smile.

"You're bloody joking." George gasped.

"You can't fight off five people at once." Fred scoffed.

Charlie frowned as she realized not a single person at the table believed her "Durmstrang students are highly educated duelers, besides, if I can handle a pack of wolves during detention, I can handle some inexperienced bounty hunters." She chuckled expecting them to laugh along, but there wasn't so much as a chuckle. "I take it by your shocked faces you don't run through the forest at night for detention." She trailed off.

"Are they trying to kill you?" Ellie gasped.

"In my case, yes." Charlie flatlined before someone tapped her on her shoulder stopping her from asking what else Durmstrang was better at. "Da?" She questioned before letting out a low sigh at the stack of posters and jerseys in William's hands.

He caught her displeased expression instantly, but a deal was a deal. "You said you would sign anything I wanted." He warned pointing his quill at her.

"Yes, yes I did." She conceded as she took his quill before realizing how large the stack truly was with items dating back to her first day of tryouts. "You're almost as big a fan as Ellie." She said tossing a glance at the blonde. "Course, Ellie has my first jersey," Charlie added casually.
