It had been a long day. It was the one time Charlie was glad she didn't have any physical classes considering she could barely keep her head up at dinner. Getting through her first day of running around the castle, looking for her various classes, dealing with new classes, Professors, and the most annoying muttering from the students. Some of them were star-struck fans and others hated her guts. It took every ounce of control not to handle things the way things are normally handled at Durmstrang.
"Charlie, are you alright?" Hermione questioned gently as she sat across from her. "Charlie?" She asked again before looking at Harry who sat to her left.
Harry awkwardly grabbed her shoulder rather gently only to leap back as Charlie jolted awake. "I didn't do it!" She panicked before letting out a groan and rubbing her eyes.
"Charlie maybe you should go to bed, you look exhausted." As she spoke she noticed the girl start to droop again. She sighed as she stood up going over to the twins further down the table laughing with Lee Jordan. "Do you think Angelina or Alecia could take Charlie to the dormitory? She's about ready to collapse." Hermione motioned down and they looked to see Harry trying to keep Charlie awake while Ron looked scared to even touch her.
"I've got her." Fred hummed.
"And how are you going to get her into the girl's dormitory?" Hermione questioned as she crossed her arms.
"She doesn't have a bed yet Mione, but a couch is better than falling face-first into her food." He smirked as he strolled over and ruffled Ron's hair "I've got her." He hummed as he leaned over and noticed how tired she looked. "Hey, rise n shine." Fred teased.
Charlie jumped at seeing Fred's face so close to hers she nearly fell off the bench. "I wasn't asleep." She muttered only to let out a yawn.
"You are a terrible liar." He chuckled. "Come on, I'm walking you back to the dorms." He spoke gently as he helped her up.
Charlie nodded limply as she took his hand and her bag and managed to stand up. She released his hand rather quickly before turning to Ron, Harry, and Hermione. "Thanks." She hummed with a small smile before following Fred out of the grand hall. She barely made it down the hall before Fred ended up carrying her on his back.
"Aren't you supposed to be the tough one?" He questioned as the girl was far lighter than he expected her to be. "I mean Durmstrang must have you work far harder than you did today." He teased with a grin that faded as he felt her nuzzle into his shoulder and her arms held him closer as she was completely asleep.
"Vanilla." She hummed in content.
He stopped for a moment and glanced back at her to notice how peaceful she looked as she slept, the worry on her brow had melted away and the stern muted expression was replaced with soft delicate features. He turned away with a flushed smile unaware of the photo that had just been taken before carrying on towards the dorms at a far more relaxed pace. When he arrived at the dorm he gently set her down on the couch in front of the fire before easing her head down on one of the pillows that quickly disappeared into her long dark hair. He gently moved her hair out of her face and grabbed a blanket and draped it over her frame. He paused for a moment noticing how someone so intimidating was actually quite small. He let out a small chuckle before returning to finish his dinner.
When everyone arrived back to the dorms Charlie was still curled up on the couch. The only thing that had changed was that her boots had been removed, a small bottle sat on the ground beside her, and the ball she had curled herself up into.
"You know with her sleeping like that she is far less intimidating." Alicia chuckled. "She reminds me of Hermione's cat."
"What's that in the bottle?" Dean questioned as Angelina went over and picked it up only to find no label.
