Grabbing her wrist, the man saw the tattoo neatly placed on the inside of her wrist.

"Well you don't look like Dream." He scoffed. The girl smirked.

"Hello, I'm Five, I've been sent by Dream." She said this with confidence. His grip was still around her wrist. It was a tight grip. Large hands. He was very strong.
He finally let go, taking a deep breath. Almost relaxing, he knew Dream wouldn't send anyone to harm him, they were practically on the same side. He went to speak.

"Hm, I'm-"
"Technoblade." They both called at the same time. Silence fell between the two again.

"Dream warned me I might get a visitor." He spoke with a harsh deep voice. Leaning past Five, Technoblade reached for the metal door handle behind the girl. With a twist the door opened letting out a warm gust of air that fought with the freezing winds they were still standing in. He gestured for them to go inside. They did so.

"You owe Dream a favour." Five said forcefully. She could sense the man wasn't one for friends, or favours. Two fearless and unbeatable warriors, they weren't going to get along.

"Are you here to tell me what the favour is, I'm a very busy man." He laughed as he spoke.

Five just stood there, she wasn't sure. Her brain scanning for the answers, with that a small voice appeared in her mind. 'Stay with him'. It was Dream. He'd left small messages hidden in her code.

"I need to stay with you." She repeated the words she had just heard. The muscled man burst into laughter. Five felt a flicker of anger as she watched him mock her.

"So Dream wants me to babysit. Typical."

"I just need a place to stay for a while." She bit back at him.

"Do you need protection or something." This was comedic to Five, she knew that she was stronger then 1o Technoblade's put together, along with the rest.

"No. I will stay here. Just until I know what I have to do next. Okay?" It was a rhetorical question. She didn't wait for an answer before she dropped a small bag off her shoulder which only contained her book.

"There's a spare room in the basement. You can stay down there, not much space in here at the moment. I wasn't expecting to have a guest." He said rather reluctantly. He had no choice but to let her.

Five watched as the man took of his robe, gently hanging it on what looked to be deer antlers bolted to the wall. His hair was longer then she had expected. She found it rather beautiful. He took of his crown and place it on a shelf next to the horns of the deer.

"You hungry?" He said facing away from her.
Five hadn't eaten anything before. She didn't need to, however Dream made her able to so people wouldn't begin to question the fact she'd never eat.

"A little." She lied.
He placed a pot of something on the fire to warm up. Sitting down at the table, he nodded to let the girl know she could sit. They faced each other, eyes fixed on the opposite person.
Five knew he didn't trust her.
Eyes still locked the man raised his hands and placed them behind his neck under his long pink locks of hair. He unbuckled his mask a slipped it off his face.
He didn't look so scary without his mask on, just a normal person, younger then she'd thought. Fair skin however his checks and the tip of his nose bleached a reddish rosey colour from the cold. He had a scar that went down from his eyebrow to the top of his right check.

Breaking the tension, Technoblade stood up, grabbing the steaming pot from the fire and dumping two big spoonfuls into a bowl. It didn't look appealing. Then he got four big spoonfuls into another bowl. Passing the smaller portion to the girl then returning to sit opposite her.

"Technoblade." Five said softly.

"You can call me techno, most people call me techno." He muffled as he ate his food.

"You can trust me." She said continuing to stare at him.

"I don't trust anyone. Don't take it personally." He said avoiding her stare. "Eat. It's going cold."

With that said Five blinked realising her eyes from him. Picking up the spoon she took her first bite. She couldn't taste anything. She wasn't able to.
The pair finished there meal. Techno picked up both bowls and dropped them into the sink where they were caught by soapy water. He then disappeared up stairs. Thumping and thuds came from the small room above the girl. Then he returned. Holding a blanket and pillow for the girl. She didn't need them, but she took them. She's never slept before. These things entering her core, it was like she was learning new things even though she knew everything.

"Night." He said passing her the blanket.

"Goodnight Techno." She replied. "And thank you." She added.

"No need to say thank you. I didn't have a choice." He said coldly then disappeared back up stairs.

Five climbed down into the basement. It was dark and damp, she turned on a small oil lamp next to a small mattress on the floor. Laying out the duvet techno had given her. She didn't sleep that night. Just sat on the bed. Prepared. Just in case.
