For a few weeks the two stayed in the same house however remained strangers like they were the day they met. Techno would avoid Five as much as he could. He wasn't one for socialising nor did he want to get involved with whatever Dream was planning, he was still confused on how Dream thought a girl would be able to help him. What was special about a random girl? He would observe her sometimes. One day they were moving logs into the house for the fire and she could carry far more then him without struggling to carry them or didn't loose her breathe. On top of that he noticed she didn't get cold. Hardly ate much, and surprisingly didn't complain about the food, even techno wasn't to keen on it himself. He often would hear her night after night talking to herself, reciting the same thing over and over again, he could never work out what she was saying though. How come she didn't need to sleep. Never tired. Sometimes the way she spoke wasn't normal, broken almost like she'd just learnt the language.
Anyhow it was another cold miserable night. The pair sat eating dinner. This time the man was watching the girl. He was smart. Very smart. He knew she wasn't normal after the past month of observing the things she'd do. He was going to confront her. Ask her what she was doing here. What Dream was up to. She could sense him watching her. She looked up from her bowl and locked eyes with him. Techno quickly looked away as if he wasn't studying her every move just a second ago.
"Techno..." Five whispered at him. He looked back at her eagerly. He was intrigued.
"Yes?" He replied.
"I need to go somewhere." She said with confidence.
"Where will that be?" He raised an eyebrow.
"To the city... L'manberg." As she said this the man glared at her. Why on earth did she need to go there? "I need you to take me there." She continued.
"Nope. Absolutely not. Not happening. No no no." He coughed out. It was certain he didn't want anything to do with this or anything to do with the city and the people in it.
"You have to." Five sternly said. "Remember y - "
"I owe him, I know." He interrupted. "If I help you, I need some answers." Five looked at him blankly.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"I've already told you, I'm Five." She repeated from the first time she told him her name.
"Fine. What are you?" He demanded. This took five by surprise. She sat there staring at him blankly. She couldn't tell him. Dream made it so she looked like a normal person. So why is he asking these questions.
There was silence between the two, both starring at the other, one with anger the other blankly.
"Ok. Looks like I'm not taking you." He said smugly.
''Tell him the truth.'' A small voice rang inside Fives head. It was Dream again. Relaxing at the thought of not getting in trouble for telling the intimidating man the truth she took a deep breath...
"I'm Five. A computerised companion designed by Dream. I've been created for the purpose to serve." She began.
The two spoke for hours into the early morning about what Five was, what she was capable of doing. For the first time the quite man had a flicker of excitement. However there was one thing Five was able to do that she purposefully failed to mention to him.
