Music was playing in the distance. They walked past many house all different to match the personalities of the owners of them. As they grew closer to the flashing coloured lights that lit up the permitter of the city centre the distant chatter became more distinctive. The laughter and joy of the atmosphere started to excite the young man that began to pick up the pace encouraging Five to speed up too.
They took one more small alleyway between some houses and they were there. Different people all shapes an sizes. Quackity ran off to a small group of people leaving Five stood in the middle of the open area.
Spinning around slowly Five took in all the beautiful decorations, the amazing music that made her feel something. The warmth of the setting sun that placed a golden tint to her skin. For the first time she felt alive. She was surrounded by the living.
"Hey Five! Come over here!" Quackity called waving her over to a small group of three other people. Five took a deep breath and walked towards them. "These are some of my friends, this is Karl, Sapnap and gogy." He continued as he pointed to the other boys stood around him.
"Gogy? Interesting name..." Five said with a smile.
"It's George. They just think they're funny." The man replied.
Five scanned the new people she had just met. Karl, Karl had long brown hair that looped in small curls above his eyes, he was wearing a hoodie that had purples and blues all sewn together with a swirl embroidered on the front, some jeans and then purple sneakers to match his hoodie.
Sapnap, a smile beamed off his face, he had black hair supported by a white headband that tied up at the back of his head, he was wearing a white top with a flame printed on the front.
George, George was smaller then the others and looked much younger, he wore a blue top with his name printed on the front. Sitting on his head amongst his brown hair were a pair of white goggles.
"What are the goggles for?" Five asked.
"Oh I'm colourblind." George replied, which sent all the boys around him to burst out laughing.
"They don't help you see colours George." Sapnap said rolling his eyes.
"Fine, the suns just a bit bright sometimes?..." the man with the goggles responded almost questioning why he had them at this point. "Right they just look cool, I don't know."
Everyone laughed again.
"Well it's nice to meet you guys, I'm Five." The girl said as she looked around and other small groups of people almost looking for someone else.
"And you questioned the name gogy?" Karl said passing the girl a drink. "Why Five? What happened to 1, 2, 3 and 4?" He said this rather amused as if he'd just said the funniest joke.
Five was to distracted looking around to realise what her response was.
"They were failed attempts." She said.
Karl slowly laughed the comment off. A short silence broke in the group and they tried to find something new to talk about.
"Why is everyone celebrating?" Five said looking back to the others.
"What the honk- "
"Have you been living under a rock?"
"Here we go again."
They all said over each other as if Five just asked the most obvious question.
"Dreams locked up. We won!" Quackity said raising his cup into the air. The rest of the boys raised their glasses up with him. Five remained silent.
"I need to find Tommy." Five finally spoke amongst the boys cheers and laughter.
"You know Tommy?" George said.
"Er yeah, family friend." Five replied.
"Oh okay, I don't think he's here yet but you should know when he's here you'll hear him from a mile off." George said bringing his cup to his mouth and with that said finished the rest of it in one big mouthful.
"Ah okay, I'm going to go look around for a bit then." Five said smiling at the boys and with that gave her untouched drink back to the man with goggles as she seen he'd just finished his.
As Five walked around, a pair caught her eye. Mainly because she was interested in what sort of 'thing' one of them was. She watched from a distance. He was very tall. The smaller boy beside him only coming up to his chest. Long arms, one side of him black the other white, a small crown that sat on top of him, magical glowing eyes that shimmered a purple and turquoise. Five walked towards them. They saw her approach and gave her a welcoming smile.
"Hi there!" The smaller boy said with excitement and happiness.
"Hello." The taller creature said.
"Hi, I'm new around, couldn't help but notice-"
"Told you not to wear that shirt Tubbo, it's to what's the word... vibrant." The glowing eyed man said to the kid.
"Hey! I like it." Tubbo spoke back. "You don't blend in yourself pal." He continued looking up at the other.
"I'm Ranboo, this is Tubbo." The taller man held out his extremely long arm for Five to shake his hand. She did so. Tubbo then excitedly did the same.
Grabbing Tubbos hand to shake it, a ominous feeling fell over Five. He was important. She'd gone from being more intrigued of the mutant beside her to now needing to know everything about the smaller boy who looked absolutely harmless. Five knew he got the same feeling. She let go.
"Anyway I have to go find someone quick, nice to meet you guys." She said at once then turned and walked away. Taking one last glimpse at the two, they were still looking back at her.
It was to her relief at that moment a loud voice spoke up from the crowd.
"IM HEREEEEE!" It spoke.
A boy, young, blond curly hair that flowed around his head, bright blue eyes. Dressed in a red and white top and a plain pair trousers. It was him. Tommy.
"Protect him." That familiar voice appeared in Fives head. Dream knew she'd found him. Five knew she'd found him. It was as if she'd met him before.
