Chapter 14

Bakugo's POV

I continued the story after getting Kami to calm down. I still had him sitting on my lap because I know that it would still be hard for him to deal with without me being right with him.

"So the next part is what he told me this morning. He said all of this started when he was six. One day he had walked his normal path to get home. He didn't live far from the school so it only took him about five minutes to get home. When he got home he was going to his parents to tell them how his day was at school. But the next thing he knew that happened was that he was getting punched and slapped and he ended up on the ground. He thought he had done something wrong so he asked his parents what he did and they said he didn't do anything and that is was normal. He went on the rest of the night like normal. It continued for the next two years and the beatings got worse and worse by his parents. They had continued to say it was normal. By the age of ten he had moved into a new house that had a basement that had one room that was soundproof. One day when he got home his parents took him to that soundproof room for his daily afternoon beating. When he had walked into there, there were chains on the wall. They had hung him onto that wall for his afternoon beating and he was there for hours. The next year his parents ended up getting whips and knives to use in his daily beatings. Since then things have been getting worse for him. Yesterday his parents had beat him for three hours straight. After his beating, he had gotten a text from Jiro last night saying that they were through and there was a picture of her and Momo kissing. He couldn't take the pain anymore and so he decided to run from. He wasn't paying much attention to where he was going and that was when I found him. He said that the beating have been going on for ten year now and he couldn't take it anymore. And that is all that has happened and all that he told me." I finished.

I looked at Kami to see how he was doing and he was in full on tears. I knew how bad the subject was and I knew that he would have a hard time with me talking about it. I couldn't bear to see him like this so I gave him a really big hug. He gives me a hug right away. I don't let him go for a while and after a while the crying starts to settle down. I am still hugging him. "You're okay babe. I am here." I whisper to him while he is still crying.

I look at Aizawa as a clue to him being able to say something since I was done.

"Okay. Thank you, guys, for telling me this. You said that he was staying with you right Bakugo?" Aizawa asked me.

"Yes. For now, anyways until things get better and I think I am the only one that he would be comfortable staying with because he doesn't want to go back home." I said still hugging Kami not letting him go.

"Okay. For now, he can stay with you. I don't have a problem with that and by the sounds of it, your mom is okay with it after what she saw yesterday. So as of right now Kami will be with you anytime of the day. You know that I am going to have to tell the staff about this you know that right?" Aizawa asked. Both Kami and I shock our heads yes.

"After hearing this, this would give us even more reason to implement out new dorms for our students to stay on and they don't have to go home. We were thinking of having roommates. Since this happened there is going to be a definite chance that we will be getting the dorms installed. And when they get installed and we let everyone know, we will be having people grouped up together. I will already have you and Kaminari and roommates since he feels safer around you than anyone else." Aizawa said as he went to get up. "I will give you two the rest of the day off and you can go home. You can also have the rest of the week off to give you time to rest. I will call your mom, Bakugo, to let her know the situation and that way you can start packing up some of your stuff because It's not going to be long before the dorms will be built. It's only going to take about a week." He said.

"Denki didn't get much of his stuff from his house. What do we do with that?" I asked Aizawa as I continued to calm Kami down.

"When it comes time to when you two are ready to go get his stuff together, let me know and I will come with along with a couple other pro heroes to help make sure that he doesn't get hurt anymore. If anything happens while we are there then we will immediately take care of his parents. His parents are going to be charged with child abuse so they will be going to jail for what they have done. But until then don't worry about it." Aizawa said. He pulled out his phone to, what I guessed was to call my mom.

"Hello Mrs. Bakugo, this is Eraserhead. I am here with Bakugo and Kaminari and they just got done telling me what is going on. I told them that they could have the rest of the week off. I did tell Bakugo to start packing because after hearing everything that I just heard, we will be implementing a dorm system and probably around next week, the students will be moving into the dorms for their safety. Especially for kids who are having problems like Kaminari. I will be sending out more information to the students and probably stopping at your house to fill you in with what is going to happen." Aizawa said. "Yep." "Hmm." "Okay. While Kaminari is with you, can you please make sure that either you or Bakugo are always around him? We don't want him to have a little panic attack about what happened and not have anyone there. He seems to trust you guys the most, or he wouldn't have told Bakugo what happened." Aizawa said.

"Hey Aizawa." I whispered. "I already asked Kaminari if it was okay if I told my mom about what happened and he said it was okay. Can you let me mom know that I am going to tell her what happened when I get home so that she knows what is going on?" I said to Aizawa.

Aizawa nodded and continued talking to my mom. "Bakugo wanted me to tell you that he is going to tell you what happened to Kaminari." "Hmm" "Okay. Would you be able to come pick up the boys from school? I don't want them to be walking home by themselves right now and I don't think that Kaminari is in a condition to be walking right now." "Okay thank you so much. And the boys don't need to worry about their school work right now. I am going to excuse them for the rest of the week so that way they can relax and try to get their minds off of what has happened." "I will stay with them until you get here. See you soon Mrs. Bakugo. Thank you again." Aizawa says as he hangs up the phone.

I was still holding onto Kami trying to calm him down some more. "Don't worry this will all end soon and you will be safe with me forever. I am not letting you out of my sight. No matter what." I whispered to Kami. I gave him a kiss on his forehead.

"Okay. Your mom is on her way to pick you both up. I will be waiting with you too until she gets here." Aizawa said. "How about you both come with me to grab your stuff?" Aizawa stated as he got up. I nodded and picked up Kami. He ended up wrapping his legs around my waist which I was fine with. I didn't want him to have to walk if he didn't want to. He was still crying a bit.

We walked to the classroom and Aizawa told us to stay out in the hall. I was okay with that because I wasn't wanting to let Kami go. Aizawa went into the classroom to grab our stuff and came back out. We went to the entrance and waited a little bit for my mom. After a few minutes, she arrived. Aizawa put our stuff into the front seat and I sat in the back with Kaminari and he just laid in my lap. Aizawa said thank you to my mom and said he would see us later.

After that we drove home. Kami just laid in my lap the whole way home, I was smiling at him because I really loved this little bean and I hurts me to see him like this. He deserves so much better than this hatred and abuse from his parents. I am going to protect him and I won't let him get hurt anymore. It's not going to happen on my watch.
