Honoka-chan and I had everything done before going to the Philippines. I was happy that our twins were given the clean bill of health to travel. As we were finishing up on our luggages. I received a text from Rina. It seems she was upset that I didn't show up at her wedding. I quickly told her that I forgot about it completely. Even Aoki was upset at my not showing up. I told them I will make it up next time. And join them on her next concert. After that we ended our text conversation. The truth was I didn't want to attend her wedding because part of me is still in love with her. I don't want to ruin their once in a lifetime beautiful moment. Although Rina and I didn't really get into a serious relationship.
I was happy that I didn't push through of dating her. And I was glad that Aoki fell in love with her. I don't want to spoil their moment. My wife and I finished packing our luggages. Including some souvenirs that I bought for my family as well as some "pasalubong" treats for them. We both rested and prepare our dinner. While she was cooking, I decided to take a look at some new manga titles for my collection on the internet. And then something caught my attention.
A third installment of "Love Melody". And this time it revolves around the main character fulfilling his childhood dream. And is married to the female protagonist and they are blessed with twins. Once again I pondered on the thought of how this book bears similarities to my life. As if the author is monitoring me and my daily life. If I have a chance to meet him or her I would definitely ask that person why he or she wrote this book.
Time Skip:
Me and my family made it to my motherland safe. It's a good thing that my superiors allowed me to go first. Everything seems to have changed since I left the Philippines. There are a lot more high rise buildings. Department stores almost the size of a military base occupies a majority of real estate. Plus the traffic has improved beyond my expectations. I quickly booked TNVS driver with an SUV so that my wife and kids would be comfortable. After twenty minutes of waiting the driver arrives and I told him the address of my house.
I was still familiar with the directions going to my barangay. As soon as I see a two story building. I definitely knew that it was my house. We stopped in front of the green gate on the opposite side of the road. The driver helps me unload the luggages from his vehicle. It's fifteen minutes before 4:00 pm when we got there. I paid the driver and gave him a tip for the help in unloading the luggages. I set up the baby stroller built for two kids. Honoka-chan and I gently place our twins in the stroller.
I carried our luggages while she pushed the stroller. Just when I was about to call. Mom opens the gate and gets surprised to see us standing in front of our house.
Mom: Doodz when did you and your family arrive?
Me: Just around lunchtime mom. We really wanted to surprise everyone.
Mom: Nice to see you again Honoka.
Honoka: Nice to see you again too mom.
Mom: Are those your twins?
Both of us: Yes mom they are our twins alright.
Mom: They look so cute. By the way Doodz you and your family are just in time to have some of the banana-cue that I bought a while ago. I bet you miss eating that even when you were still in high school.
Me: That's great! Let me put our luggages in my room first. In the meantime you and Honoka-chan have a little bonding time.
Mom: Ok Doodz.
One by one I put our luggages in my room upstairs. Then I quickly changed into my regular clothes. Mom and Honoka-chan are still talking when I called her to change clothes. I then have a little conversation with my mom while she's busy cuddling with my twins. She then asks me why I decided to come back to the Philippines. I told her about the joint military exercises between the Philippines and the US that will be held a week from now.
