Alpha's Wife

Chapter One

"Esme, glad to see you've agreed" Alpha Monroe stared at me with a bright smile on my face

I'm not used to him smiling like ever. He is usua... Wait agree to what?

"Agree to what sir?" I looked at him struck with oblivion 

I saw him look back at my parents disapprovingly while gritting his teeth.

Aye, that's the Alpha I know

I turn my back to look at my dad's dark green eyes widening, that I inherited, at the Alpha as if trying to tell him something. I turned to my mum she was doing the same. Communicating telepathically, which is something i really need but don't have. It pisses me off so much   

What are they up to?

"Esme, please take a seat love" My mother said calmly, smiling nervously

Okaaay?! 

I am human, so is my mum but my two older brothers, Jonathan and Edward, and my father, Fredrick, are werewolves. They are from a Beta blood line. 

I, being human, have no privilege to talk to the Alpha but he had no choice since His daughter is my best friend for 20 years.

"May I know what's going on?" I ask politely fearing I would anger the Alpha more than he already is

"You're parents were supposed to explain but they were too much of cowards to do so" He spat looking at my father angrily.

 "Esme, we want you to..." My father couldn't continue as he started down at his feet and looked at Alpha Monroe with devastation in his eyes and shook his head

My mother left with tears in her eyes

"Wait, did someone die?" I ask immediately after that scene "Please tell me my brothers are okay" I am panicking

Oh my God what if something happen to Edward and Jonathan. Who is going to sing duets with me, buy me ice-cream and drive me everywhere when my car is crashed? Who is going to listen to my rock n roll music and form an air band and fight who will be the guit-

"Your brothers are fine and no one died, now focus" My father snapped at me

I sighed in relief 

"Esme, you've been like a daughter to me. I've seen you grow in front of my eyes with my child and I'm positive that she learned most of the things with you and from you" He looked proudly into my eyes "You are the only woman in high ranks who is without a mate and you need to understand this is for the sake of the pack. We made a-"

"Oh, I get it" I know what this is all about and I don't want to hear it from him "I will pack and leave. I have been looking at a few places in Europe and I know dutch so I'll be able to fit right in" This is killing me. I don't want to leave where I've grown but It's about time

The threats have been increasing so this is what it's about "And Alpha thank you for being the best Alpha in the world and keeping me here, safe." I smiled and got up 

I looked at my dad who was face palming himself multiple times

"Please sit down and shut up" My father said as he face palmed himself one last time and didn't look at me

Um okay?

I did as he said as he sat down on the chair opposite to mine to I was facing him 

"Esme" He looked at me sorrowfully "you know I love you and so does your mother. You're our baby girl. We never expected you to be raised so maturely and wonderfully, but we had to take that decision. You're-" 

"Father, I get it" I cut him off "I'm leaving, simple. No need to make me feel like I'm going to be married against my will." I let out a breathy short laugh

Both men in the room looked at each other 

Seriously they're making a big deal out of it. They could've just told me to go. They don't need to make me feel like they're asking if i want to be buried or cremate. I'm going to be few hours away and they'll visit me in vacations-

"Esme, you're going to marry Alpha Leonardo Lunar next week"

Yeah, definitely getting married against my will
