Ariella's pov

The boys were all looking at the floor when I entered the room. Instantly my stomach churned in disappointment. If they looked happy, then I would've known it was good news. Their blank expressions told me otherwise.

I took a few shaky slow steps into the room. Taking a deep breath, I turned to face the hospital bed.

My jaw parted to let a small gasp escape my lips. My stomach fluttered and I was frozen in my place. My mind raced to process what was happening, but I couldn't believe my eyes.

Liam sat upright in the bed in front of me with a huge grin on his face. I am beyond flustered at what is going on. When I left that hospital room three days ago, Liam was dead. His heart monitor went flat, signaling his heart stopped beating. But now here he sits alive and well as if nothing ever happened.

Before I could ask questions I felt a gentle push from behind me. I turned to find Louis and furrowed my eyebrows together. Without removing his hand from the small of my back, he motioned towards Liam's outstretched arms.

My feet knew what to do before my brain could process what was going on. I ran to the small hospital bed into Liam's strong arms and for the first time in 3 months, I felt safe and at home.

Liam's pov

The moment she stepped foot in the hospital room I got emotional. It had been three months since the last time I saw her. Well if you count the warehouse then that's a little over a week ago, but I choose not to remember that.

She stood in a state of shock before my eyes. I could tell her mind was trying to grasp the reason I sat smiling, because she furrowed her eyebrows in concentration and her lips were slightly parted.

I held my arms out for her, but she still didn't move. Louis have her a gentle push forward which shook her from her daze. He placed his hand on the small of her back and motioned towards me.

Her face lit up and she ran into my arms. I wrapped my arms around her frail body and pulled her close. I instantly knew to run her back when I felt her sobs rattle her tiny body.

I silently thanked the boys for leaving the room and giving us a minute. I stoked her long blonde hair and my other hand rubbed her back in a calming way. Once I felt her breathing even she pulled away to look at me.

Even though her cheeks had fresh tears on them, she was still the most beautiful girl I had ever laid eyes on. Black eyeliner and silver eyeshadow made her hazel eyes glitter. I don't know why she wears that stuff, she doesn't need it.

"Wh- I- you-" she shook her head in disbelief as she fumbled to talk.

"How?" Was all she could say. I have her a weak smile and thought about my answer

"Well I dunno really" I thought for a moment. I couldn't remember that much.

"After he shot me" she cringed at the memory and screwed her eyes shut. "I remember the sirens, screams and lights.... And broken glass" she watched my intently as I continued to speak. "I remember you," her eyes looked hopeful "you were crying and" I trailed off not wanting to finish because I knew she'd cry again. "Then I blacked out and I don't really remember anything else."

"What's the first thing you remember when you woke up?" Her voice was hoarse and raspy. I smiled at the memory

"I woke up after your kiss" I said grinning from ear to ear

"What?" She looked starstruck

"After your little speech and you kissed me at midnight, I woke and and briefly remember the feeling of your lips" she blushed slightly and smiled at her hands.
