Chapter 27

Louis's pov

"Should we wake her?" Niall asked nobody in particular

"No I'll carry her" I whispered

"I got it" Harry said swiftly lifting her off his shoulder and into his arms.

"Is there anywhere we can stay tonight?" I asked the nurse. She had just kicked us out of the hallways saying we couldn't sleep there all night.

"In the room next door" she pointed and we nodded a thank you.

Harry laid Ari on the bed and climbed in next to her. She started to curl up next to him but woke up and sat up furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. She blinked and looked around the room a few times. When she looked at Harry laying down next to her, she muttered a silent "oh" before playing with her fingers.

"Thanks" Harry mumbled sarcastically

"No I'm sorry I th-thought you were Liam" she said hesitantly trailing off at the end.

Nobody said anything. Everyone found the floor was suddenly an interesting place to look at for a while.

"Have you heard anything?" She asked us quietly

"Not yet" I responded

Without saying anything, she hoisted herself out of bed, silently wincing in pain from her stitched stomach and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Harry asked sitting up

"To find out" she said opening the door and shutting it behind her.

Ariella's pov

"To find out" I mumbled opening and closing the door. I turned around to come face to face with people I never expected to see again.

"Jo?" Tears formed in her eyes as she took in my appearance. I was too shocked to say anything else.

"What happened to you?" Lottie said with a horrified expression on her face.

"I-uhh-umm" I opened the door "Louis!" I called inside. He was at my side in a moments notice.

"Why don't you have a shirt?" The twins giggled

"Why is your stomach taped?"

"Why are your clothes torn and bloody?" They asked fearfully

"How's the baby?"

I looked at Louis for answers and he just scratched the back of his neck. I grabbed Jo's shoulder and pulled her to the side

"Ari" she weeped

"Jo I'm okay I promise, but what are you doing here with the girls??"

"I hadn't heard from you, but last time I talked to Louis he said everything was fine, so we flew out"

"The girls are going to be terrified" I warned

"What happened to you guys?!"

"It's a long story and I'll explain later" she simply nodded

"And... The baby?" She whispered

I sadly shook my head as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Oh honey" she soothed. "You have more don't worry" she said rubbing my back

"I don't know if I can" I said trembling

"What do you mean?" She asked cautiously

"Liam- he's... Dying" I choked out trying not to have a mental breakdown in the hallway.
