y/n pov
everyone was finally awake. they asked if i had gotten in any sleep and i said yeah that i just woke up before then which was obviously a whole ass lie. the room was dead silent. they all knew if they asked me any questions i would break down in front of them. mattia and ale always had there arms around me and never left my side while kairi was on the other side holding one of my hands and the other one holding mateos. vic taylor and aiyana went home with the kids. robert alvaro and roshuan were on there phones and obviously me kairi mattia and ales eyes never left mateo. we just stared at him waiting for him to open his eyes. the bruises on his face were going away and the cuts also. the nurses always came and cleaned him up.
doc: hello good morning how is everyone doing today
everyone answered but me and kairi. we just stayed silent. the doctor cleared her voice and checked on mateo. she smiled a bit.
doc: he's getting way better mrs and mr cosentino
i touched his face and kissed his soft cheek. kairi just stared.
after a while of the doctor staring in silence she left. robert and roshuan cleared there throats.
ro: come on kai and y/n you have to see your other kids they already know what happened
i didn't say a word. i heard whispering but i didn't care. i just wanted to stay with him.
rob: y/n didn't you hear what the doc said he's getting better
he snapped at me. how dare he.
you: getting better isn't good for me! i want my baby awake! once he's awake then i'll leave and see my other kids! you have NO RIGHT to tell me what to do or what i should do! are your kids in a hospital bed! have you seen there body drop to the floor with blood gushing out there little body! have one of the girls had stopped you from going to there side! HAVE YOU HEARD YOUR CHILD SAY THEY LOVE YOU LIKE IT WAS THERE LAST TIME AND SAY THERE ARE TIRED! HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR BABY CLOSE THERE BEAUTIFUL EYES! TELL ME ROSHUAN! TELL ME ROBERT!
i screamed while crying. alvaro mattia and ale pushed them out the room.
i dropped to the floor crying. kairi rushed to my side holding me as i cried. i remember everything like it happened yesterday. every time i close my eyes i see mateo drop to the floor. i hear him tell me he loves me and is tired. i see him close his beautiful. i hear the horrible pops. i see the fear in mateos eyes. i hear gaby screaming "mateo" or "my brother no". i hear her cries through the shut door. i hear my screams, me wailing and me crying. the police sirens. ambulance taking mateo. the blood on the floor. blood on my hands and shirt. the worst time my head ache. the worst day of my life.
i just don't want to bury him 6 feet under.
