(Y/N pov.)

During our trip to the movies, Frank beamed like a child, and surprisingly ignored Gerard's teasing comments.
Lindsey sat next to me, she looked amazinnngg, she kept nudging me and telling me to be confident for tonight. I couldn't help but brush her words off, knowing I was going to be nervous regardless.

Frank's face had a constant smile, as we played his favourite mixtape in the car.

One hand on the wheel and one hand rested on my thigh as we both head-banged to his favourite music.

Frank occasionally looked over at me and his smile broke into a giggle, "Y/n this is probably the best birthday i've ever had and it's only 1pm." The dark zombie makeup was still holding together and I almost couldn't take him seriously.

We pulled into the Olive Garden carpark and Frank stopped the car. I leaned over the gearshift and placed a kiss on his cheek, my red lipstick stamped his cheek like a phantom print of where my lips had been.

Frank smiled sweetly, as we sat in the comfortably silent car "Honestly Y/n, usually I just watch movies out with Gerard n stuff, so it means a lot that you're here with me this year."

Looking back on how my life has changed from months ago. I used to be miserable all the time, I'd go to school and everything would become white noise until I got home, and cry until I slept from exhaustion. I barely ate and so close to dying.
Frank was my new light.
His friends became mine, and in turn I gained a new family, people I could genuinely depend on without treading on eggshells around them.

"Frank, I don't know where i'd be without you here, without you as my best friend-"
He raised his eyebrow playfully and I giggled, "and of course my boyfriend. I used to have nobody, now I have a somebody. The brightest star in the sky."

I paused, and Franks eyes twinkled, small tears spilled out as he smiled sweetly.
"You deserve everything today Frank, because you're my everything."

Frank. My everything.

"I love you."

It was almost too good to be true, those three words. They were said so fast I almost lost them in the silence.
Frank sat there, scared to say anything else, maybe scared he had messed up as the tears stopped flowing and his eyes widened into a shock like state. "Y/n you don't have to say it back it's okay, I was-"

"Frank! I love you too idiot" Hot tears streamed down both our cheeks as we locked eyes.

He had told me he loved me as a friend, never as a lover, and it was special.
The butterflies danced around my stomach as we both began to laugh.

Frank sniffled, "I love you! come here!" He unbuckled my seatbelt and pulled me over the gearshift and onto his lap.

The struggle of climbing over the gearshift in a tight dress was definitely present and the steering wheel dug into the small of my back before Frank reclined his seat and pulled me into his arms.

We pulled away after a short time and Frank softly smiled down at me, "Pretty baby, you're so beautiful." He smoothed my hair and fixed the devil horns on my head, before bringing his thumbs to my cheeks to wipe away the tears, careful not to smudge any of the red glittery eyeshadow that clung to my face.

His action reminded me that he was also wearing makeup. The black mascara and eyeliner hadn't smudged too bad but I giggled a little at how some of the pigment had ran with his tears.

I gently performed the same action Frank had moments earlier, bringing my thumbs to his soft cheeks, his soft lashes tickled my fingers as he closed his hazel wonders. I began to gently pat his skin dry and wiped away the black tear stains.
