Hinata's POV

I can't believe I let Lexy see me cry. I thought she would've been so disappointed to see me like that, but she turned things around. The moment where she placed her hand on my shoulders and pushed my hair back, her beautiful blue eyes staring into mine, I was instantly brought back to life.

I was in such a dark and low moment, and she held my hands, bringing me back up again. I can't help but really fall for her. When did it even start happening? I can't remember.

She dragged me out of the house, and my hand was still in hers. I followed after her, her light chestnut brown hair flowing down her back. It took me the longest time to see her wearing a white dress that framed her small body so well. Her curves were more prominent, and she seemed like she was shining. "Where are we going?" My voice was still raspy from my crying just now.

She turned around; it looked like slow motion to me; her eyes blinked in the most breathtaking way, and her lips curling into a smile. She replied, "party!"

Party? What does that mean? We didn't travel far; the location we ended up in was still along the coast. Upbeat music was booming from one of the tents and crazy flashing lights illuminated from within. "Don't worry. I'll make sure no one kidnaps you or feeds you bad things. Just stick to me, okay?" She winked at me. I'd stick by you anytime!

She flipped open the tent, and the loud music drowned us out. It wasn't horrible. Weirdly enough, I definitely felt super pumped up by this. I walked in in awe, and Lexy was constantly checking over her shoulders to look at me.

"Let's get something to eat first! I'm famished!" She shouted over the beats and pointed over to the bar counter. When we made our way over, the area was slightly quieter than on the main dance floor. Everyone was so good at dancing...

"Peixe crocante empanado com cerveja, por favor," she spoke to the man over the counter. He nodded and went back into the kitchen. "Are you sure I'm suited to be here?" I spoke louder than usual. She moved closer to me, her face inches away from mine, "first time for everything! Do you like it? Is it too wild for you?" Her face was pink, and her eyes sparkled for approval.

"The music is kind of refreshing, but I don't know if I can dance like them!" I started to sweat nervously. "Don't worry. We like to just let loose around here. No one will judge you," she smiled and flashed her cute teeth. "Ordenar-se!" The bartender came back with a plate of crispy fish and Lexy paid up instantly. "The portion is really big here, so let's share. Don't worry about the money. Everything's on me today!" She handed me the cutleries and started to dig in. Watching her makes me feel two different ways: calm but my heart's beating so fast!

After the meal, I was more or less accustomed to the volume of the music here. We talked about how I usually celebrate my birthday, and she'd speak of hers. She said she doesn't usually come to places like this, but it was an excellent place to really relieve any stress since all people do around here was drink and dance. "You have to watch out for shady guys, though. The security here for drugs is still pretty weak around here. That's why you should never accept drinks from strangers," she warned me.

She ordered two drinks, nonalcoholic for once. It was nice to see her enjoying without getting tipsy, not like she did at the bar with Carlos. "I didn't know it was your birthday today, so can my toast make up for it?" She raised her cup and waited for me to tap it.

"Of course! This is the wildest celebration I've ever gotten!" We cheered and downed our drinks. She got up and straightened her dress. "Come on, let's go dance!" She grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me to the dance floor.
