the nurses got andy in the OR and started putting her under anesthesia, as the doctors scrubbed for surgery. once they came out of the little room where they wash their hands, nurses immediately rush to put their cloves and surgical gown. they arrived over to the table altman already had a scalpel in her hand and started cutting. once the incesion was big enough dr. pierson started massaging the heart to get it to beat on its own. not long after the monitor that survais her heart rate, etc.
"we are getting signals from her heart" the anesthesiest said calmly.
"pierson stop for a minute and listen" altman commanded.
pierson stoped and took her hand out and listened, after a few minutes they heard her heart beat normally so they ask if the nurses could close up so they could update the rest of the team.
when they got close to the waiting room she stoped grey and pierson
" we should really look more happy they are going to think she died, i know its has been a long shift but it's andy shes the captain of 19 for gods sake, look happy" altman said
they then started walking with small smiles on their faces. the team once they saw the doctors immediately got up and started looking nervous. their was a couple people pacing back and forth and they were ryan tanner, travis Montgomery, vic hughes, maya bishop, deam miller. once they saw the doctors approaching they stopped and stepped forwards towards the front to hear what they had to say.
" she made it out safe no complication" pierson said proud of her team.
" we restarted her heart once we got in the OR" altman said proudly also.
" i got her lungs to open again as they shut do to the smake inhalation when she fell" grey said also proud of her self.
" you will however need to go in groups of two when it's time to visit as her heart could fail again" dr. shepperd said. as they needed a brain surgeon in case her brain swelled during surgery.
" thank you doctors when can we see her" maya said.
as all the people in the waiting area started hugging the doctors for saving their captians' live.
" you guys have enough time to go rest and clean up before you go see her, she still needs to go for a MRI and a x-ray for broken bones" dc. shepperd said.
" thank you again doctors, this means so much to us, i can't believe i failed to catch her before she fell in the roof." maya said.
" maya stop blaming yourself it's not your fault" milller said.
"where she was stepping was to soft to for her to step on and she fell no one could of caught her" pruitt said.
" alright lets go wash up an sleep" maya gave in.
