***jacks POV***

after andy got home, i told her thr truth on why i stayed home.

"oh that's, wow, ok well we'll stay home and keep watch" andy says gracefully.
"ok so what now? wanna watch the whole harry potter series? or the whole fast and furious series? maybe spirit riding free? sorry for the laast one it's a little thing i like to watch" i say shyly.

"no, no , yes, and it's ok" she says, wait did she just...

**a few hours later**

***andys POV***

we were watching the show i agreed to watch a while back today when i saw the PD calling on my phone.
i picked up as my nosey self needed to know why they were calling me at 3 in the afternoon.

*phone call*

ANDY: hello?
PD: is this andrea herrera?
ANDY: um yes, may i know whom i'm speaking with?
PD: im terisha, we thought since you are the legal guardian of carson rose tanner, that we have arrested her today and in the past for doing drugs, now please come get her, she is absolutely crazy when shes high.
ANDY: i'll be on my way can you send an officer to watch my door, as someone came to drop off carsons' items but he seemed sus.
PD: yah i'll send an officer.
ANDY: thank you.
PD: bye now
ANDY: bye

*end of phone call*

once the officer arrived me and jack set out to the PD to get my stoned niece.

jack and i never really got along with cops but this once i was going to be nice as it's my niece im getting out of trouble.
we got to the PD a short while after, and of course i had to gag at the thought of entering a police station.

" i'll wait out here" jack says beside me.
"oh hell nah, you coming in with me and that's final" i said roughly
" ok ok, don't lose your nerves on me woman" jack said stepping to the side so he won't get hit by me.

i of course, lost my nerves on him since he said not to and started beating him with my shoe, well it was my shoe or bag, so i chose my shoe. safer option then taking a bag which he can easily grab the end and pull me.

i officially entered the building, in my firefighter gear just to piss off the cops. i went up to the front desk.

"how can i help you?" the man sneered when he saw what i was wearing.
"im here to pick up my stoned niece" i smirked.
"ah, you're the fire chief of seattle, who had a high niece at a police station" the person behind him says.
"yes and you have a problem with that?" i say steernly
"no ma'am" they both say.
" now go get my niece so i can take her home and lecture her" i sighed

once they brought my niece from the cell that they keep people in when they get arrested. she had handcuffs on her wrists, she looked like crap, and she was being dragged, well the dragging part is her fault for not cooperating, with cops.

" here's your niece ma'am" the cop that went to get her said taking the cuffs off of her.
"andy i swear it's not what it looks like" she slurred.
"yah sure carson" i say dragging her out of the building.

i pushed her into the car where jack was already seated in as he stayed back even though i told him not to.

" heer yee, heer yee, carson the drug addict is here, call amelia while i drive" i commanded.

*jack and ameliasphone call on bluetooth speaker(initals for amelia, as, and jack, jg*

AS: hi jack what can i do for you
JG: hi, do you have any places Carson can do some AA meetings.
AS: oh why do you need them.
JG: we found out the carson has been doing drugs the past dew years and she needs to get her addiction gone before she gets arrested again.
AS: uh, sure i can come over once 8m done my shift at the hospital and i can bring her to a meeting since i have one tonight.
JG: thank you text me when you get to our house.

Carson, jack, and i made it hine safely to find cops surrounding the area, with guns out.

We pulled up to find a cop approaching us.

"Step out of the vehicle" the police said.

We did as he asked and stepped out.

"Just so you know my god-daughter is stoned in the back seat, we just came back from the police station and why the hell us there cops with guns out pointing to my house?" I question.

" someone has broken in your home and not come out so we are waiting" the cop said.
