Ch. 9 "Understanding"

                                             Autumn POV 

Today T'Challa and Shuri are showing me the country side of his kingdom, where there is nothing but meadow's for miles, 

Farmland for miles, all the cattle and other live stock, 

I can hear exactly what they all say all the animals, every moo, every chirp and every cluck, 

They speak to me, 

I have a baby chick in the palm of my tiny hands, He chirps telling me how badly the pigs stink up the barn, 

I giggled 

"Come little one, it's almost dinner time," T'Challa said holding out his hand, 

I gently set down the chick, 

but as we were leaving I hear something, a snap of a twig I look into the wooded area, 

"What is it?" Shuri asked 

"I hear something," I said 

They see my gaze and out of no where A giant leopard emerges sprinting towards T'Challa 

T'Challa ready's himself, 

But I quickly put my self in between him and the Leopard, 

"Autumn!" T'Challa yelled 

I held my arms out wide, and Snarled in the Leopards language 

"STOP!" I growled 

The Leopard stopped a mere inches from my face, 

The leopard looked at me, 

"What is the matter? what has you so angry?" I asked in it's language, 

"Something in my mouth I need to dig my teeth into something to get it out," It said 

I nodded , 

"Go AHHH," I said pointing to my mouth opening it as wide as I could, 

The leopard did as it was told, 

I see a hunk of bone jabbed in the roof of it's mouth, 

"Autumn don't that thing is dangerous!" Shuri said 

"Nonsense he's just in pain," I said 

I grabbed the bone and yanked it, 

The Leopard licked it's lips feeling the pain gone, 

"Thank you, thank you," He said 

He licked my cheek as he purred, 

"Your welcome," I giggled having one eye closed as he licked that cheek, 

                                     T'Challa POV 

I watched the display in front of me, then it dawned on me, 

"She can understand them," I said in shock, 

"Are you certain?" Shuri asked 

"Positive," I said 

I watched as the leopard licked Autumn's face then left, 

"Bye, Bye!" Autumn waved 

I walked over to her picking her up, 

I know one thing watching this child throw herself in front of a wild animal scared me to death, I thought 

"Come you must be hungry," I said as we walked back to the palace,
