Ch. 16 "Leopard affection"

                                                  Shuri POV 

Oh man T'Challa is going to have my head for this, I thought as I scrambled looking for any trace of Autumn, I couldn't find her anywhere, 

Me, mother and Okoye spread out looking for her, 

I walked over to see Okoye enter, 

I rushed towards her, 

"Did you find her?" I asked in a panic, 

"I'm sorry there is no sign of her," She said 

"Where could she have gone?" I said franticly 

"Do not worry we will find her," Mother said as she approached us, 

suddenly out of no where a portal formed and T'Challa and Strange walk out, 

Great, I thought 

"Sister, mother Okoye?" He said 

"Your back," I said hugging him, 

"Not for long I'm afraid, I've come to get Autumn," He said 

We looked at each other worried, 

"What?" He asked 

I sighed telling him, how when I woke up this morning she was missing, no where to be found, 

"What?" He said sounding not too happy, 

                                                       T'Challa POV 

I was in disbelief, 

Why would she leave? did she leave or was she kidnapped all sorts of things were running through my mind, 

"Don't worry we'll find her," Strange said putting his hand on my shoulder, 

I nodded, 

"Do you have anything from her a hairbrush, toothbrush," He asked 

I nodded, 

I walked into my room finding her hair brush, 

I came back out handing it too him, 

"How is this going to help?" I asked 

He picked a few hairs from the brush, 

"By using her DNA strands from her hair I'll be able to locate her," He said 

Sparks from the hairs appeared and a portal showing the jungle I first found her in, 

"She's there," He said 

"Then let's go," I said 

We both walked into the portal, 

                                           Autumn POV 

My head was burred in the fur of the leopard, my fingers grasping lightly I heard purring above me, 

I snuggled my face further into his fur, the purring continued, 

My eyelids slowly flutter open, I see him looking straight ahead keeping watch for anything that might threaten us, 

He looked down at me, 

"Sleep well little one," He said nuzzling his head against mine, 

I sat up, rubbing my eyes, 

I nodded, 

He licked my forehead and both sides of my cheeks, 

"Are you hungry little one?" He asked me, 

I nodded, 

"Yes," I said back in his language, 

"Okay, I'll get something," He said standing up on all fours, 

I went to follow, but he nudged me back with his nose, 

"Stay, the jungle has been talking, two very large men are on the search for a child, I'm only guessing that child is you," He said 

I hesitated, 

"Promise me you will stay here little one," He said 

I nodded, 

"Okay, I'll stay," I said 

"Good," He said licking my forehead again, 

"I won't be long," He said 

He slowly walked out of the cave looking around before leaving to find food, 

Still it is curious, who would be looking for me? 

Not T'Challa he left, he didn't want me, I thought looking at the ground sadly, 

The leopard returned with a big salmon in his mouth, 

"Here little one," He said laying it on the ground, 

I picked it up with my tiny hands, 

Making my teeth sharp like a Leopards or any predators so I could bite, and I started gobbling the food, 

I ate half, 

And handed him the food, 

He put his paw on my arm, 

"Eat little one," He said 

"But aren't you hungry?" I asked tilting my head, 

"No, you need your strength," He said licking my temple, 

So I did I ate, I am still hurt with T'Challa leaving me, but I know the Leopard will keep me safe, and take care of me, I thought 

I finished the food, 

The leopard got up and started licking my face, I probably had a mess all over my face, 

I nuzzled into his neck, as he laid his head on top of mine as he purred, and I purred back, 

as we were having a moment we hear a twig snap, 

"Back of the cave little one," He said 

and I did as I was told hearing the footsteps getting louder, 

I hear him growl, 

"She's not here," I hear a voice, 

I know that voice I thought 

No, it can't be I thought
