"Where were you? It was the first day. Were you partying, whoring around, or a combination of both?" 

"Good morning to you too, Chrollo."

Kurapika stumbled back into his dorm room, trying to get five more minutes of precious sleep, but it wasn't the same without him being held in Leorio's arms. Chrollo miffed him enough to wake him up anyway. "If you must know, I was with Leorio."

"Leorio... isn't he on my list of "people to stay away from"?"

"I wouldn't know, I didn't care to listen and told you to be quiet."

"Then I'll tell you now." He still had a small smile on his face, an odd expression for a warning. "Stay away from him. If my predictions are correct, he broke up with Baise." As he went on, it seemed less and less like he was talking to Kurapika and more like he was just speaking to himself. "They weren't together for the second half of the day and you usually never see them apart. I mean, why else would I see a pretty girl cry in the middle of the school day?" His smile got slightly larger, only by a little bit. "That being said, I have had my eyes on him for a very long time. I do not want you will not ruin this for me. If I have to play thief and steal him away, I will."

Kurapika was barely listening despite Chrollo's warning, but he heard enough nonetheless. "Well while I was with Leorio I slept with him."

"Is that so?" He tried to say as calmly as possible. His act was transparent, it was clear that he was upset, his smile slightly dropping.

"Yeah, it was good too, hopefully, I'll do it again soon."

Kurapika was technically telling the truth, no, they didn't sleep sleep together, but Chrollo's mind bent the truth for him so he didn't have to. "You? He had Baise, one of the prettiest girls in school-"

"Yes, and then he had me."

Kurapika left the room quickly after changing his clothes, and for the first time, Chrollo was finally speechless. He would just brush his hair on the way there acting as if it was a normal morning.

In the halls, Leorio was talking to a few seemingly close friends of his and after he spotted Kurapika, invited him over. He introduced himself to Leorio's friends, Pietro and Zepile. Zepile was apparently a friend he met in YorkNew a few years back when shopping, and just when he was starting Pietro's introduction, Chrollo of all people came up to the group and started talking.

Chrollo was feeling his arm as he was talking to him, not acting like the Chrollo he was dealing with in the morning at all. His hair was now in a middle part instead of the usual slicked-back style he always wore. Kurapika had to admit, he looked better, still atrocious, but better. "Leorio, you're so strong, how did you build all this muscle?" Chrollo asked. Zepile was visibly trying hard not to burst out with laughter. Either he knew who the real Chrollo Lucilfer was or he just found him ridiculous, or maybe a mix of both. 'At least Zepile realizes how fucking weird this is,' Kurapika thought. "I'm way smaller than you, you could probably lift me up with ease!" He technically wasn't wrong, he was only 5'9 while Leorio was 6'4, a whole 7 inches of space. It reminded Kurapika of the middle school girls who would compare hand sizes with the boys in his village in an attempt to flirt since they didn't actually know how to use their actual words. Kurapika couldn't tell if Leorio was flattered and shy or if he was embarrassed and just wanted it to be over with.

"Uhm, I just play football... that's it,' Leorio said as he scratched the nape of his neck.

Chrollo smirked as he put his hands on Leorio's chest. "You should invite me to a game, I would love to be your cheerleader, would that be okay?" Kurapika could nearly throw up at Chrollo's little show. It wasn't like him at all and he hoped that Leorio saw through his phony act. "Uhm, yeah, sure, that's cool," replied Leorio.
