Yorknew Highschool, a prestigious and well-known high school in Yorknew City. People from outside of the school have to apply and get accepted and so many try to get in, so when Kurapika, a bright student from a very small unknown village got accepted, he was very surprised but ecstatic nonetheless. Pairo congratulated him, but they both knew they were going to miss each other dearly.

"Don't forget about me, Pika!"

His main goal? To make his village proud by becoming valedictorian in a notorious high school.

There were dorms for scholars who weren't close to their homes, and since Kurapika was one of them, he had a new roommate to spend the year with.

"Hello, I am Chrollo Lucilfer, but you can just call me Chrollo. I'm from Meteor City and strictly go by he/him."

"Yeah, usually people call each other by their first names" Kurapika joked, but Chrollo wasn't amused.

"Anyway, this is my side of the room. Do not touch my things."

"Wasn't planning on it." Kurapika was already getting pissed off and he just met his roommate he would have to spend the year with. He already had temper problems to begin with.

"Speaking of do not touch, there are a few people I want you to stay away from."

Kurapika wanted to beat the hell out of this guy, what happened to 'nice to meet you'?

"You know what 'Chrollo'? I don't give a shit. I will do as a please and you are not here to control me. I had a long, tiring trip all the way here and your little facade isn't exactly helping me get settled in." Kurapika looked so angry as if steam was about to come through his ears.

"Fine," Chrollo said with a smirk. "Do as you wish".

He said it as if it was some sort of warning, but Kurapika didn't care anymore. The threat was probably empty anyways.

After a week of bickering with Chrollo, sending 'I miss you!' letters back home, and exploring Yorknew city, the school year was finally starting.

First, he had Physical Education. 'Great, now I can get sweaty and gross for the rest of my classes' Kurapika thought sarcastically. He put on an old T-shirt, some running shorts, and some running shoes that barely fit. 'Note to self, get new workout clothes'. He usually wore other things for physical activity but Kurapika figured what's normal back in his village wasn't necessarily normal in a high school in the middle of a huge bustling city.

He put his hair in a small ponytail and walked into the gym, feeling a bit more intimidated than usual. The teacher was named Phinks, and he was in a tacky looking tracksuit. "Alright!" He clapped his hands loudly to get everyone's attention. "I am your teacher, Mr.Phinks, but you can just call me Phinks with no Mr. I want you guys to go around and say your names, I won't make you say a fun fact, don't worry." He chuckled. Lots of people looked relieved after hearing that.

Kurapika wasn't really paying any attention, he heard a few names like "Melody" and "Baise", but what really caught his eye was Leorio Paladinight. He was sitting next to Baise, and she was leaning on him and was practically clinging to his left arm. If Kurapika said he wasn't even a little bit  jealous, he was definitely lying. He was wearing an athletic shirt that showed off all of his muscles in the upper half of his body and his slightly tapered waist, and he was wearing basketball shorts on his lower half with some older-looking gym shoes. Kurapika would also be a liar if he said his eyes didn't linger on a certain spot of his lower half, but his staring got caught as beautiful brown eyes looked up and caught him. Kurapika tried his best to look away and act as nothing happened, but even Baise noticed.
